It was another grueling practice session, and Heeseung was doing what he did best—dancing with ENHYPEN. The beats pulsed through the room, the choreography flowed smoothly, and there was an undeniable bond of camaraderie among the members. When the music finally cut off, signaling a much-needed break, Heeseung collapsed onto the floor, grateful for the respite. His sweaty shirt clung to his skin, but it didn't matter—he was already thinking about the bottle of water he was going to down in one go.
The group gathered in a circle, each member grabbing their water bottles and catching their breath. Jake, ever the curious one, nudged Heeseung. "So, how does it feel to be engaged? Must be pretty good, huh?"
Heeseung's face immediately flushed, a soft pink creeping up his neck. The thought of you still made him feel giddy inside. "Uh, it's great," Heeseung said, his voice suddenly quiet. "She's the best. Very supportive... and caring." He grinned, clearly lost in his own thoughts, thinking about you—his fiancée.
Jungwon, always a little too observant, glanced over with a mischievous glint in his eye. "Where's the ring, Heeseung? I wanna see it."
Heeseung's eyes widened slightly. "Uh, it's in my bag," he said nonchalantly, reaching over to grab his backpack, which was resting next to him on the floor. His fingers fumbled as he dragged it closer. "One second... I've got it here somewhere."
The members watched as Heeseung began to dig around inside his bag, his usual calm demeanor slipping slightly. "It's here... wait... no, no... where is it?" He muttered to himself, the panic beginning to creep into his voice.
Sunghoon raised an eyebrow. "What's up? Is it not in there?"
Heeseung's searching became more frantic. His hands were digging through the bag with a focus that would make anyone think he was trying to find a lost treasure. "It's not here! It's gone! I—I always keep it in the front pocket!" His voice was rising in pitch, almost desperate.
Sunoo, ever the optimist, tried to comfort him. "Maybe it's just your imagination, Hee. It could be somewhere in the bag."
But Heeseung wasn't having it. "No! It's not here. I swear I put it in here! Maybe I dropped it somewhere?" His voice shook a little, as the panic began to grow.
Jungwon sighed, a little amused but also concerned. "Alright, alright, calm down. Let's all help look for it."
Just as the members began to search the room in a mad scramble, Heeseung's phone buzzed. You were calling.
Heeseung quickly picked it up, trying to mask the stress in his voice. "Hey, babe!"
"Hey, Heeseung! I'm bringing over some food for you guys. I'll be there in a bit!" You said brightly.
Heeseung's face went pale. "Oh, uh... really? Thanks... but... uh..." He suddenly sounded less enthusiastic. How was he going to explain that he'd lost the most important piece of jewelry he owned?
"Yeah, of course! Thanks for the food!" He quickly ended the call, then turned to his members, his eyes wide with realization. "Guys, we need to find it now, before she gets here!"
