Rose and Tim stand looking at Gibbs. It was awkward and quiet. The sound of Gibbs' phone ringing breaks the silence and he answers it.
"I found her. Had to call in a favor from a friend at Pine Gap– you know, the big communications base we've got down in–" Keating explains.
"Put her on." Gibbs orders.
"Done. You're connected." Keating states.
"Ziva?" Gibbs asks.
"Gibbs." Ziva responds.
"You okay?" Gibbs asks.
"You heard?" Ziva asks.
"Yeah, raw feed out of ZNN. You might want to call them." Gibbs explains and Ziva chuckles.
"Thanks for the tip." Ziva explains.
"What can you tell me?" Gibbs asks.
"Not much. I was undercover. Trying to win the trust of a man showing an unhealthy interest in a Chechnyan terrorist group." Ziva explains.
"Brian Roberts?" Gibbs asks.
"Perhaps you should tell me what you know." Ziva explains.
"Old Navy friend of Roberts was found murdered this morning. Steve Vargo. Worked strategic planning; top secret clearance. Who was the target?" Gibbs asks.
"Roberts was meeting a Chechnyan terrorist by the name of Milaana Shishani. By sheer luck, she escaped the blast. But Mossad does not believe she was the target. Roberts was." Ziva explains.
"Why?" Gibbs asks.
"We can only speculate. But from what you've told me, it appears that someone wanted them both dead." Ziva explains.
"Cleaning house?" Gibbs asks.
"Possibly." Ziva responds.
"What tipped you off about Roberts?" Gibbs asks.
"Director Vance and... Rose." Ziva admits. Gibbs looks over at Rose who was looking at Tim. She was whispering about how the three idiots upstairs were annoying her again.
"Gibbs?" Ziva asks.
"We miss you, Ziva." Gibbs states.
"I miss you, too. All of you. Even, uh, Tony." Ziva says.
"Gotta go." Gibbs states.
"Um, take care, Gibbs." Ziva explains.
"Yeah, you take care, too." Gibbs responds. He hangs up and Rose turns to look at him, seeing his look.
"Rose." Gibbs states.
"Yeah, Dad?" Rose asks.
"Steve Vargo. What do you know about him?" Gibbs asks.
"Boss, I'm not sure I can exactly tell you what I know." Tim explains, "Orders."
"Orders from Rose or?" Gibbs asks, pointing up.
"Yeah, both." Tim explains and looks at Rose.
"You need to speak to Vance to be read." Rose explains. Gibbs sighs and he heads upstairs with Rose following.
[Later - Director's Office]
"Swing away." Vance says.
"You didn't break up my team because of Jenny's death." Gibbs explains.
"No." Vance replies, "Five months ago, I got a series of anonymous calls from a Navy Petty Officer. Eventually, he identified himself as Steve Vargo. Said he had gambling debts and that he was being blackmailed into supplying highly classified data to someone."
