"Good day Mr. and Mrs. Park," Jungkook greeted, receiving only glares in response. "I would have been here earlier, I'm-"

"Jungkook, the last person I want in my house," my father interrupted angrily. "You and Y/N should leave."

"But Dad..." I tried, hoping to plead.

"Out. We don't want you here," my mom added, and that familiar feeling of rejection hit me again. All of this was because of Jungkook.

"We just wanted to give you the invitation card," Jungkook said. Now he decides to invite them to the wedding?

"We're not coming. Keep your card," Mom said, throwing it back in his face.

"I don't know how you can do this, Y/N. Why marry this bastard?" my dad asked furiously.

Because he was the only option I had to get you treated, I wanted to say, but I stayed silent.

"Answer me. Why go back to him? Do you believe he loves you now or what? God, how stupid can my daughter get?"

How much more was I going to be insulted because of Jungkook?

"She's not stupid. I love her, sir," Jungkook said, and I nearly scoffed, but my dad did first.

"That's what you told her five years ago, and look at what you did to her. So tell me, how is that love? You didn't love her then, and you don't love her now," my dad shouted.

"I do," Jungkook replied.

"Liar," my dad shot back.

"I warned you, Y/N, not to mix with the likes of him, but you never listened. You kept chanting, 'He loves me.' Should I remind you what he did?"

"You can deceive my daughter, but not me. Get out of my house, Jungkook!" my dad shouted angrily.

"I'm not deceiving anyone here. We're getting married on Saturday, and I'd love for you to be there for her," Jungkook said.

If it were any other guy, I'd be thrilled by what he just said and the fact that he was going through this with my parents. But now I was just irritated.

"Dad, please. I want you to be there, to walk me down the aisle," I begged.

"As long as it's Jungkook, I wouldn't. Don't even expect me there," he said angrily.

"Dad, Mom, please," I pleaded, looking at both of them. But the way they turned their gazes away from me was the final blow.

"Out of my house," my dad ordered, while my mom opened the door.

"Let's go, Y/N," Jungkook said, taking my hand. I pulled it out.

"Let me go! I can't do this anymore," I shouted. They all turned to look at me in shock.

I was so frustrated, I didn't even notice I was crying. I was so close to spilling the truth. His mom knew-so why couldn't mine? Now they thought I was stupid for being engaged to him. They needed to know I wasn't doing this for love but for money.

"What do you mean, Y/N?" my mom asked, and I saw Jungkook tense up.

"I just want you to be there. I want you guys to come. I can't do this without you. It would mean a lot to me if you came, please," I begged. I could see Jungkook relaxing a bit.

I was actually going to tell my parents, but knowing what they'd think of me stopped me. I also wanted to taunt him. I wanted them to come because this was going to be my first and last wedding. I wanted them to be part of it.

"Please leave, Y/N. And don't come back unless he's gone," she said, opening the door wide. Tears slipped from my eyes.

"We'd leave, but I'd love for you to come. If not for me, then for Y/N. It would mean a lot to her," he said, taking my hand. I let him take me out, feeling shattered.

As soon as we got to the car, I started crying. I hated everything. I hated the deal. I hated that I was getting married to Jungkook. I hated that my parents didn't want to come and probably hated me. I hated my life, and it was all because of Jungkook. I wanted to kill him.

I was crying hard. I felt sad, frustrated, and angry, but mostly hurt. I wanted to blame it all on Jungkook, but it was my fault too. I was stupid then, and I was stupid now-stupid enough to agree to the deal and sign it. To think that I did all this because of my father, for his surgery. For them to have a better life, and now look at how they treated me.

A hand wrapped around me, and I was shocked because I knew it could only be Jungkook.

"Let me go," I sobbed, hitting and pushing him away. But he held me tighter. It didn't help that his touch was exhilarating and that he was moving his hand on my back.

"Just let me go. It's all your fault," I cried repeatedly, hitting and pushing him away, but he didn't budge.

He said nothing and just held me as I kept hitting him. I wanted him to shout at me, to tell me to stop or to push me away. But he didn't. I got tired of hitting him and rested my head on his chest, crying as his hands stroked my back and hair. I had no idea why he was doing this or why I let him. But I was too tired to fight him off and just cried.

When I was done, I moved away from his chest and saw that his shirt was soaked. I looked up at him, but his face was neutral. Couldn't he shout at me for soaking his shirt? I got into the car. I had done something I promised myself I wouldn't do-most especially in front of Jungkook.

"I meant it when I said I can't do this anymore," I said, turning to look at him.

"What do you mean by that?" he asked coldly.

"I can't marry you. I can't do this. I've always been a bad liar. I can't pull this off."

"A bad liar? You're a very good liar and actress, Y/N-and it's not a compliment," he said coldly.

"I don't care, Jungkook. I can't marry you."

"You signed the contract, Y/N," he shouted, hitting the steering wheel as he drove.

"You can sue me. Take me to jail. Do whatever you like, but I just can't do this. My family is all I have. I don't want them to turn their backs on me," I pleaded.

"There's no going back, Y/N. The deal is final. We're getting married this Saturday," he said firmly.

"I can't marry you, Jungkook. I won't," I shouted out of frustration.

"What do you want? How much more do you want?" he asked calmly.

"Nothing. It's not about the money, Jungkook. I'll return it to you-all of it. Let's just end this. I'm lying to my parents, and I don't like it."

"What would make you change your mind?" he asked, calm but serious.

"I want to tell my parents that the whole thing is fake."

"That is not possible," he said angrily.

"Then the marriage isn't possible. Your mother knows, so why can't mine?"

"Because I don't want them to know. This is the end of the discussion. Don't make me tighten the security throughout this week."

"Fine. Don't worry-I wouldn't miss the wedding. Well... hopefully not."
