Y/N'S POV

I had no clue where we were heading, but when we arrived, I was taken aback. We were on an island, and judging by Jungkook’s lifestyle, it likely belonged to him. On the yacht, heading towards his house, the experience felt thrilling. I glanced at Jungkook, who had been on the phone for what seemed like forever. His work was always his priority, and I was just someone he treated like an assistant.

Once we arrived, I was in awe. The house was incredible—an imposing sight, and honestly, I couldn't understand how someone like him could possess all of this.

“You’ll catch flies if you keep your mouth hanging open,” Jungkook commented as he breezed past me, typing away at his phone.

The house was everything I expected and more. The outside boasted palm trees, a pool, and an inviting hangout area, while the inside was an epitome of luxury with glass doors and windows, expensive furniture, and sleek designs. Jungkook definitely had taste.

“This place is beautiful,” I murmured, and his response was dripping with arrogance.

“I already know that,” he said dismissively.

We ascended the stairs, and Jungkook, knowing there were staff around, held my hand. He led me to a room with a breathtaking ocean view.

“Is this your room or mine?” I asked, unsure.

“It’s ours,” he replied nonchalantly.

“Ours? Why ‘ours’?” I shot back, feeling uneasy about the idea of sharing a room with him.

“Well, this is a honeymoon. We need to be together,” he said, “How would that work if we’re in separate rooms? And besides, with all the staff here, we don’t want rumors spreading.”

“First of all, we’re not doing anything. And second, I don’t want to share a room with you,” I retorted.

“You’re scared?” he teased. “Don’t worry, we’ll just sleep. If I want anything, it won’t be from you.”

“Good. You won’t be getting anything at all,” I snapped back.

“I don’t want anything, Park,” he smirked before heading into the bathroom.

A while later, Jungkook emerged from the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist, water droplets tracing the path down his chest. His physique was undeniably attractive—defined muscles, abs. I hated that I noticed, that I admired him.

“Stop drooling, Park,” he teased.

“Drooling? Don’t flatter yourself, Jeon,” I replied, trying to hide my thoughts.

“How long are we staying here?” I asked, trying to steer the conversation elsewhere.

“A week,” he answered.

“Why couldn’t we stay longer in Paris? You don’t seem to have anything to do here.”

“Mind your business, Park.”

Night fell, and I couldn’t shake off the uncomfortable feeling of sleeping in the same room. As I was about to fall asleep on the bed, I heard Jungkook’s voice.

“Who told you you’d be sleeping in the bed?” he asked coldly.

“No one did, it’s our room, right?” I shot back, mimicking his earlier words.

“That doesn’t mean we’ll share the bed. There’s a couch, the floor, or maybe the bathtub,” he suggested with a smirk.

“Well, I’m already on the bed,” I said, sprawling out to make myself comfortable.

“This is my bed, and I don’t want you in it,” he said, leaning into the bed, causing it to bounce. He spoke so coldly that I wondered if he’d just throw me out.

I turned to face him. “Too bad, like you said, there’s a couch or a bathtub,” I said defiantly.

The playful back-and-forth turned into a physical struggle. We each pushed the other, trying to make the other fall off the bed. Ridiculous, yes, but neither of us was backing down.

“Get off the bed, Park. Stop acting like a child,” he ordered, pushing me to the edge of the bed.

“No, you get off. You were the one who came in after me,” I argued, pushing him back—though to no avail.

“Alright, I tried being reasonable,” he said, before suddenly picking me up and placing me on top of him. I was stunned, angry, yet a small part of me found it strangely exciting. But I was mostly furious at his audacity.

My fall had left my butt sore from hitting the floor, and his mocking laughter only made it worse. His laugh was the type that made you want to hide your face in embarrassment, maybe even cry.

“You think this is funny, Jeon?” I demanded, glaring at him.

He just nodded, grinning.

I jumped to my feet and grabbed pillows, smacking him with them, digging my fingers into his skin in my fury.

“Alright, alright,” he relented. “You can sleep on the bed, but there are boundaries.”

He set up pillows between us. “Stay on your side. Cross it, and I’ll put you in the bathtub.”

I didn’t mind his threat. Why would I want to be near him anyway? I glanced at the marks I’d left on his back from my fingers, a sense of satisfaction rising in me. We were even.

Turning to my side, I shut my eyes and tried to sleep. This honeymoon would certainly be exhausting.
