Never Said Goodbye

Somewhere, sometime in TVDverse-

Elena stood in front of Elijah. They had not seen one another for years. But seeing him just made feelings she harboured deep in her heart rush out like the blossom in an early spring sun.

"Elena..."- he uttered.
"Elijah..."- she slipped and then she felt like she would be better if she turned around and left. And she started to walk away.

Elijah stood there for a moment somewhat taken aback that she would just leave and treat him like he was a ghost.

And wasn't surprising to her that he would just it go, and that was now the exact reason why she spat at him when he whizzed to her stopping her from walking on.

"I am not doing this."-Elena said openly to him.
"I do understand why you wouldn't even want to see me, let alone greet me."

"You do understand?!"-Elena said trying to keep her cool but it wasn't easy at all so she burst out-"you just left and never said goodbye."
Her eyes got teary as she remembered the night he never turned up leaving her a letter behind she had found on her bed.

"Elena, I will carry my regret, always and forever, Elijah"

"I waited in the gazebo.... Ah, I din't know why I am doing this...Goodbye."-Elena said and now walked on once again.

And the tears were running down her face an she hated that her emotions got the better of her. What is wrong with me? She thought. He had been gone for years and she didn't hear much about any of the Originals. A witch by the name Dahlia made them disappear. She should not be angry, she told herself now. All was a mess.
