it all started as I was Inspired by J.J. Cale 'Magnoli...
Why, Elijah?- his heart shouted-"why give upon on the one true thing that universe just bestowed on you? Why do you fear it would be better to let go? Watch from the shadows like always, noble martyr?"
Elijah now whispers out -"I am undeserving"
But his heart fights on, battling fiercely with his reason- saying-
How have you protected your rose from the lambs or caterpillars of this world? You haven't. You have thrown her at them.
Elena had just told you to let the glass globe be.
Elijah now flashes back to Elena's eyes streaming her open heart at him- and his heart threw this at him-
"Of course I love you"- the flower said to him. It's my fault that you have not known it all the while. That is of no importance. But you- you have been just as foolish as I. Try to be happy... let the glass globe be. I don't want it anymore." (The Little Prince- Antoine de Saint-Exupery)
He can't give up. What was he thinking?
Elena moves startled as she now hears the knocking on the car window. Elijah stands there. Outside. There. Elena looks at him like he is a figment of her imagination. Dazed.
He calls her name out.
Elena looks at him. And she snaps trying now to open the door. It is jammed. She presses the buttons, but there is nothing. She tries again so desperately. But nothing goes, and he now grabs the door and opens it clean.
Elena steps out now still quiet waiting for him to say, although it is all clear.
"I don't want to give up on us- never meant that. I was- mistaken..."
"I know, Elijah"- Elena says-"but you have to stop. Trust me"
"I do"- Elijah says-"Oh, I so do. So love you, sincerely, can you forgive this thousand year old fool?"
Elena nodded - and suddenly it was like nature heard their hearts whirlwind. Suddenly it started snowing. Elena looked up at the night sky happy, smiling and at him. "This is a sign"- Elena says.
"The beginning of Always and Forever"- Elijah said and the revelled in the fluffy gift of the skies.
