I lost myself again (3)- in the name of love

Denver, Colorado

A day later

Elena cannot believe her eyes as Elijah walks in the restaurant she works in.

"Elena-"- he says. 

Time stops. Freeze frame.

At least that it was what Elena feels at the very moment, but  her lips slip -

"Elijah-"

And then, as if someone presses the button and everything rolls again- Elena shakes her head and moves away like she had just seen a ghost and goes to the bar. 

Elijah sighs a little. It is clear that his presence is not something she recognizes as a good thing. He can't blame her. For a second, he feels like it is all a very bad idea. But his heart screams- You will listen to me this time. This time you will follow what I tell you. No more escaping. No more mistakes. No more losing yourself. 

Another waitress comes up to him and asks if he wanted a table. He nods a little and she takes him to an available one. He orders and the woman leaves. 

Elena continues with her work ignoring him for a little while, till she sits down at his table looking at him straight in the eyes and then saying-

"I don't care what this is about- if there are rituals, curses, your family. Whatever it is - I-"- she pauses- "I am finding the way back to myself. I am there. Things are fine."

Elijah looks at her seriously and his heart trembles as he feels happy that she was doing good-

"I am glad."- Elijah says. And he looks at her with the eyes that won't let go- eyes that she reads so well. 

  Those eyes telling her that his heart and soul cannot be if they are not with her.   

Eyes that speak in the name of love-
