A/N: Found this video and it is amazing how beautifully it was done. So, prompted me to do this short story. Hope you like it! :D

"I kissed Damon"- Elena admitted to Elijah all flustered-"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. I don't know- I do. I saw you - with Hayley - and- I know it's no excuse."

Elijah was quiet. He looked at her as if she had pushed a dagger right in his heart.

"Say something"- Elena pleaded tears now running down her face.

"What do you want me to say, Elena?"- he looked at her trying to breath.

"I don't know. All I know that I- LOVE- YOU. I love you."- Elena stressed out again coming near him putting her hands on his chest.

"You love me?"- he said looking at her in disbelief.

"I do."- Elena said-"But I don't know if you love me still. You're always around her."

Elijah took a deep breath now moving away from Elena making a long drawn expression-

"This is about Hayley, right"- he now looked at her with his eyes gone out-"Elena, you know that she and I were both under a spell of dark magic. I was not myself!"

"But afterwards - you are there- always- with her. Helping her. And the way you hugged..."

"We were both happy that Freya had found Klaus! That was all. Hayley is in love with Klaus! She had told me that the very same night before she left."

"I didn't hear that."- Elena said.

"No..."- Elijah said disappointed- "Huh- anyway. I had just got the news from Freya. Dahlia had turned all of Klaus' emotions off. I need to go. I haven't got time for this now."

"Elijah, please. Please don't walk away. Please!"

Elijah gave her one more devastated look slipping- "Later!"

As she watched him walk away she slumped on the floor crying bitterly.

An hour later Freya called Elena letting her know that Klaus had daggered Elijah and took him away to an unknown location.
