"Rebekah said that this the exact same spell Esther used the night she bound us together- so how can it be that it is happening again? Wouldn't they need the doppelganger's blood for it?"- Freya asked Elijah.

"Yes."- Elijah said shortly.

"But she is dead, isn't she?"- Freya continued.

"Not really dead. Just in a magical sleeping state" Elijah said.

Freya now could see Elijah changing into very pensive mood like she had struck a nerve.

"Elijah?" the witch now uttered to get his attention.

"Yes?"- he looked at his sister with a somber face.

"Are you all right?"- she asked.

"I will get on the bottom of this" Elijah said swishing away leaving Freya cluless.

Rebekah entered asking if the witch saw any of her brothers.

"Elijah was here but just left. I was telling him about the binding spell and the doppelganger's blood and he just went all dark" Freya explained.

"Ah, the doppelganger- the sweet Elena" Rebekah then said poignantly.

Freya looked at Rebekah not understanding what it was about.

"Oh, you missed so much. Ok, let me fill you in." Rebekah now told her sister all about Elijah and the doppelgangers, his deep attachment to them, especially Elena.

The new- old threat opened the floodgates of emotions hidden deep down in Elijah's soul bringing back the freightful afternoon after the Mikaelson Ball.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Elijah screamed. The hurt he felt for hurting her was a constant.

Some days I feel broken inside
but I won't admit
Sometimes I just wanna hide
Cuz it's you I miss
...
There is nothing I wouldn't do
To have just one more chance
To look into your eyes
And see you looking  back
...
If I had just one more day
I would tell you how much that I had missed you since you've been away
Oh, it's dangerous
So out of line
To turn back time

I'm sorry for blaming you

For everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself
By hurting you
