"Here..."- Elena said and layed down on the grass. Elijah did the same. It was something he hadn't done since he was a child.

The night skies were clear and the stars sparkled at them from up above.

"It is really beautiful..."- he said- "you come up with the most unexpected..."

She turned to look at him and smiled a little lacing her fingers with his.

"Do you believe in fate?"- Elena asked then.

"Fate?!..."- he said and looked at her- " I did at times and then there were times I didn't..."

"And now?"

"Still not clear about it., but when I look at you...then I am beginning to think that universe did have a plan..."

"Did you wish it all worked out differently?!"

"No...I would have not met you!!"-he then said.

"Look...a shooting star...make a wish!..."-Elena said chirpily-"Did you make a wish?"-she turned to him.

"Yes, Elena...I did!"-he smiled. More than a thiusand years had passed and it felt like he was the same young man who once had great dreams, wishes, ideals. He now looked at her and the word 'fate' crossed his mind again.
'Fate- 'inevitable'- unavoidable...The universe must have had a plan! How could he explain the greatest happiness being bestowed upon him. He, who didn't deserve it because he was a monster, in great part a demon."

"I love you...."-he then said.

She knew this look and the tone of voice telling her what deep guilt he carried inside of him.

She neared him and kissed him.

"This is meant to be!"-Elena said sweetily-"it was written in the stars... I saw it!"
