"You have the key, Elena?"- Hayley asked the doppelganger who had just managed to grab the key that was hidden in the hole on the drop of the mountain.
"Got it!"- Elena confirmed holding the magical artefact safely in her bloody hand.
The hybrid then pulled Elena up.
"Here"- she passed it to the hybrid-"You go now"- Elena urged her-"there is not enough time left!"
"But your leg? I can carry you"- Hayley said to the doppelganger.
"I will only slow you down, hybrid or not. Go, please- save them!"
The hybrid rushed away and Elena slumped on the ground looking up at the dark clouds gathering.
"Save him, please!"- tears run out on the side of her eyes. Her heart blacked out.

"Elena?"- Jackson found her some minutes later. She opened her eyes-
"Tell me!! Are they ok?"- Elena gasped for information the hybrid could not give her.
He picked her up and hurried now to the caves.
There, the doppelganger found Freya, Hayley and Kol kneeling by the bodies of Klaus and Elijah consumed by the beastly venom.
"Noooo!!"- Elena cried taking hold of Elijah as Jackson put her safely down next to her loved one -no, no, no,no -please- no"- she craddled him tears running down dropping on his shrivelled face.
"I loved you- I loved you- I have always loved you- I love you"- she weeped feeling her heart would rip out of her chest-"forgive me, forgive me"
