Chapter 30

Marjorie's POV

Carly rushed me out of the house, we dropped the twins off with Viv and Siobhan,

"Thanks for looking after them on such short notice" I said

"It's okay honestly" replied Viv

"We love spending time with our godchildren" added Siobhan

"What's the rush anyway?" asked Viv

"Oh, it's Eric his parents have thrown him out, with nowhere to go, he and Carly have been getting close, so he stayed in her room last night, then after speaking with him this morning he told me everything, so he is moving into the pool house, only it needs furniture so Reece gave us his credit cards, Miss Spend-a-lot here wants a mum and daughter day, shopping and getting everything for Eric. Reece is going to his parents' house to get his belongings; he is taking Autumn and Mia with him"

"God help Eric's parents" replied Viv

"I think Reece is asking Autumn and Mia to go with him to help keep his anger in check, he was fuming before when Eric was telling us" I replied

"Mum come on, "Shouted Carly

"Oh, my word, the shops aren't going anywhere Carly"

"We will drop the twins at home" replied

"Why don't you come and have tea with us, Jamie is welcome to?"

"Jamie is on a sleepover, but yeah will come for tea" replied Siobhan

"Great, I will let Reece know there will be 2 more this evening, see you at 6pm"

I walk over to my car I open the door, and Carly has Barbie girl blasting.... "I'm not listening to that" I shout

I changed to The Doors as they are my go-to band at the moment. I drive us into town, and we immediately go to the furniture shop, and we buy a new double bed, wardrobe, chest of draws, and other bedroom furniture and two couches a coffee table and other household stuff. The shop can deliver this afternoon. Then we went to ASDA and Primark and stocked Eric up with everything he needed.

We stopped at Coffee One and had our usual Caramel Latte's then headed home. When we got home all of Eric's stuff had been delivered and Reece was just leaving with Eric.

"Hello gorgeous, we are just out to meet Autumn and Mia then we are going, to get Eric's stuff from his parent"

"Okay, my love, don't do anything silly"

"I won't I promise, that's why Mia is coming with me, Autumn will sort his parents out"

As he drives off with Eric, Carly and I go through to the pool house and we get everything ready for Eric to come home. Once we are finished the pool house looks great.

We sit outside by the pool; I make each of us a cup of tea.

"When did you and Eric start getting close?"

"A couple of months ago, whilst you were in hospital, one of the delivery blokes tried to come on to me, Eric stood up to him and told him to do one, then we started talking properly and I got to know him, he told me about his parents, I was the first person he rang when they threw him out" she replied

"And you haven't slept together"

"No mama, we have kissed, and done over the clothes stuff, we aren't ready to go further" added Carly

"Okay my love, please be safe I'm too young to be a grandmother" I replied

We spent the rest of the afternoon chatting, and relaxing, it was the first time in a while we had done this. After a while Reece, Eric, Mia and Autumn arrived back, each carrying stuff in boxes.
