Chapter 36

Reece's POV

I look at Marjorie, she is feeding the twins. I can tell she is still processing the news that Aut has just told us, Marjorie's real father is still alive, she has been lied to her whole life, her mother knew everything. I stand in the doorway of the twin's room "Gorgeous are you okay?"

She turns around and the tears are streaming down her face, she is holding Kate, "How could she? How could she? Her own daughter she lied to me, about everything and let me get abused, she deserves to go to prison"

"I don't get how people can let things like this to their children" I replied

I picked Jack up and hugged him, we stood there for a few minutes holding our children, "Do you want to cancel the BBQ?" I asked her

"No. I need to be around my family, the people who are always there for me" She replied

"Okay baby" we changed the twins and put them down for a nap as they were still tired after their adventures today, Marjorie walked through to our bedroom, and sat at on the bed, I walked into our bathroom and started running a bath, once it was ready I got her from our room, she wasn't speaking I get her undressed, then I get undressed we step into the bath and she relaxes into my body, I hold her, after a few minutes I wash her then help her out of the bath I wrap a towel around her and lead her through to our room, I dry her and change her into one of my T-shirts and a pair of shorts, I put on a pair of shorts and we settle into bed, she hugs me, the whole time she hasn't spoken.

"I want to see my dad" She whispers

"Okay baby, do you want me to contact him?"

"Yes please"

"Okay I will contact him tomorrow morning"

We stayed hugging each other she falls asleep in my arms I reach for my phone, and I text Autumn

R- "Hey sis, you free?" I get a reply immediately

A- "Yes, how is Marjorie?"

R- "Still processing what you have found out, she is asleep, we need to get her mother behind bars"

A- "I was hoping you were going to say that I have been gathering evidence against her it's all ready, I have also found out that Marjorie's stepfather has signed everything over to Marjorie, he knows he will be going to prison for a long time, so everything that's left is going to Marjorie, it's still a large amount of money and three properties and his business"

R- "So her mother will get nothing?"

A- "Yes, she gets absolutely nothing, will you tell Marjorie?"

R- "I will speak to her in the morning, the BBQ is still going ahead we will see you and Winter tomorrow"

A- "Okay, big brother see you tomorrow"

R- "See you tomorrow"

I put my phone down and cuddled into Marjorie, I fell asleep, then I'm suddenly woken by Marjorie Screaming in her sleep.

She is sweating and thrashing around in bed, then she sits up, she turns around I can see she is awake; I don't move or go to touch her I wait to see what she does then she whispers "Hold me Reece please"

I move closer and I move so she is sitting between my legs, and I wrap my whole body around her, and I gently rock her, "I'm here baby, I'm always going to protect you, we will get through this"

She sobs into my chest until she falls asleep again, I sit up all night holding her I don't go to sleep, I sit there holding my wife, until she is woken by the twins when they wake up for their next feed.

"Babe, you need to eat, will eat if I make you something?" I go to get up off the bed

"Don't leave me, please?" she asks

"Come with me" I replied

"We go downstairs, Stevie is asleep in front of the tv, there is no sign of Carly and Eric, I'm sure that once I start cooking, they will appear, I get everything out to make Marjorie a sausage and bacon butty, as its one of Marjorie's favourite snacks as the smell of the food wafts around Stevie, Carly and Eric appear.

Carly and Stevie go over to Marjorie and hug her "Aunty Auti told us what they found out, we love you mama," said Carly

"I love you both my girls" Marjorie replied

"Are you okay?" asked Stevie

"Yes, I am now, I have had time to think, and I know what I want to do, but right now I want to enjoy my evening with you all, then enjoy the BBQ tomorrow"

I finished making everything placed it all so we could make our own butties, Marjorie sat on my lap, we ate, chatted and watched a film. A lovely Friday evening.
