Chapter Forty-Nine

Reece's POV

I woke up with Marjorie still nuzzled in my chest, we had a bit of an unsettled night as it seems both Kate and Jack now have a cold, hopefully they will feel better for Monday.

I slowly get out of bed making sure I don't wake Marjorie up, she really needs the lie-in today, especially as she is wedding dress shopping today, and I think we will have a family dinner tonight, I will ring Jack later and ask Siobhan and Viv would like to stay over again.

I put my T-shirt on, and I go and check on the twins, they are still asleep I walk downstairs to the kitchen I get a waft of coffee as I walk in, I see Siobhan sitting at the Kitchen counter

"Good morning, Siobhan, couldn't you sleep?" I asked her

"Oh, good morning, Reece, I hope you don't mind I made a pot of coffee"

"No not at all" I replied

I started to get things out to make breakfast, and I look over at Siobhan "You want to help, everyone will be down when the smell starts wafting through the house"

"Sure" she replies

I get the bacon, eggs and sausages out of the fridge then I get the ingredients for pancakes "How about you make the pancakes then the toast I will start cooking the sausages and bacon"

"Okay great" she replied

We started preparing breakfast after a few minutes I looked over at her "How are you doing now?" I asked her

"I'm okay, I have been able to open about a few things that happened to me when I was younger, and Marjorie told me about when she was 5 and she protected me even back then" she replied

"Yeah, she told me about that, Marjorie always protecting everyone"

We carried on preparing breakfast and one by one everyone walked into the kitchen, Marjorie and Viv were the last to arrive carrying Kate and Jack, they put them in their highchairs I cut up some sausage and put some scrambled egg and toast on a plate for them.

We all sat down and started eating "You all looking forward to shopping today?" I asked

"I am" replied Carly

"You just like spending money" I replied

"It should be a good day; I'm spending time with my family" added Marjorie

"Eric, you can come with me and Viv suit shopping okay mate?

"Oh, okay yeah" he replied

"You are a part of the family, you will be standing up there with me, Viv and Mia okay"

"Really? Thank you"

Everyone went to get ready I tidied the kitchen once I had finished tidying up, I went upstairs to get ready for my day shopping, I went into our room and Marjorie had both twins with her, Kate wasn't settling so I took her out of Marjorie's arms and tried setting her she nestled into my neck and settled immediately "Looks like she wants her daddy today" said Marjorie as she was now holding Jack, who settled straight away "And little man there wants his mama, Why don't I take Kate with me and you take Jack will be easier when they become unsettled as they are full of cold" I suggested

"That would be great, I don't fancy trying on dresses and having two cranky babies to deal with" she replied

"Divide and conquer "I said

We took turns to get ready then went back downstairs where everyone was waiting. There was a knock at the door, I opened it, and Jack was standing there.
