"She was right Hades, that woman did not deserve such a harsh punishment" Hecate argued in my defence "You would agree" Hades muttered Now that I was officially appointed queen, Hecate was appointed as my minister.
My attendant of sorts, to advise and guide me And I was thankful to both her and Hades for appointing her such a position To help me as I was thrust into a world unfamiliar to me
"My lord, the messenger is here" a guard called Hermes? It is so early in the morning, what is he doing here? "Send him in" Hades said
He strode in happily. He must be due to his upcoming wedding, yet I found it strange that Zeus had him sending messages right up until the ceremony His wedding is tomorrow...
"What has happened now?" Hades asked "Nothing, I bring an invitation" he said, shifting his eyes to me Hecate looked up from her seat in the window, curious As was I.
"From who?" I asked, taking the letter from him I opened it "It is Artemis, she has asked me to join them again" I reeled off "Are you going to go?" Hades asked
I saw the worry in his face. After last time... I was not confident to go again But I also did not want to back down and let them think that they intimidated me.
"Yes, if you will be alright without me?" I checked He nodded "Of course my love" he said, I smiled at him "Great, I will wait outside Sephy" Hermes called as he left
I stood from my throne, placing my crown down on it and bending down slightly to kiss Hades "Thank you" I said But as I moved to leave, he grasped my hand, pulling me back
"You do not have to thank me Seph, you can do what you want, when you want. You do not need my permission" he said, I nodded I knew that. I suppose it was just... habit. Especially after being back with my mother for so long
"I love you" I said, nearing the door "I love you too" he said louder after me.

"You do not miss her?" She asked casually "Of course. But I do not want to trap her Hecate. The way Demeter does" I said honestly And I never want her to ask me for permission to go ever again
