Mother walked ahead of me, angry with me
Which is not surprising given last nights events
"She is more... irate than usual" Hermes commented lowly as he fell into step with me
We approached Olympus
And my heart lightened at the promise of seeing Hades

"I disobeyed her" I said, tired of the guilt that she tried to inflict
The guilt that no longer resided in my chest for such trivial problems

"Good for you" he smirked
I shook my head at him
"Will your new wife be here today? Peitho?" I asked
"No. I will introduce you soon" he assured, linking our arms together
Unity.

We entered the gates.
And every god once more gathered together to see another be sworn into their vanity and selfishness
I searched the room for Hades, my eyes finding him talking to Athena

I smiled as I watched him. I am glad he came
"So much beauty hiding so much disgrace" Hermes commented as he looked around
"I thought you had laid with many here. And now they are a disgrace?" I asked amused as we walked through the room

"They were disgraces when I bedded them" he laughed
"Persephone" we stopped walking
And I turned to see Ares behind me
"Ares, nice to see you" I said

I had not physically seen him since I was captured all that time ago.
And I fell for the god of the underworld

"Did you receive my flowers?" He asked
"I did. Thank you" I said politely
"Might I ask you for a dance in exchange?" He asked smoothly, holding his hand out
"I..."
"Seph, Artemis wishes to speak with you" Hades interrupted us, staring at Ares rather darkly

"Excuse me" I smiled, pulling Hermes along with me to escape.

"Dancing is not a sin Hade-"
"Stay away from my wife" I said, watching her leave
"There is nothing wrong with being friendly" he said innocently
"And my warning still stands. Stay away from her" I said

"Warning? What would you do Hades? Kill me" he laughed
I nearly smiled back.
And I close the distance between us, staring him down

"No. I would throw you into the River Styx with the rest of the unwanted souls, drowning over and over in pain and despair and missed... by no one" I warned slowly
