Me and Gabe woke up to the sounds of our babies crying. Even though they're a week old today we're still a bit new - by that I mean we sometimes have no idea what they want - but it's still only been a few days of them home. Gabe looked at the tablet to see which one was up and it was Leo.
"...mm I'll get him-" Gabe murmured while he was interrupted by Luna's joining her brother.
"Heh I'll get her" I said sitting up while yawning and rubbing my eyes.
We both got out of bed and went to their room. We opened the door and the crying became louder.
"Mama and dada are here my babies" I said while taking my shirt off and picking up Luna.
I sat on the couch rocking chair holding her like a foot ball and feeding her. Then Gabe passed me Leo and held him in my other arm, feeding him.
"Heh... it's funny, seven years ago we were just kids... now look at us, having our own kids who would have thought the tyrant Lui Shirosagi actually fell in love and would have gotten married and have kids with that same boy?"
"Uh I did I was planning this since I've basically met you Lui"
"Well I know you did but I didn't I thought it was gonna be another one of my relationships that would end in a few months... but I'm just saying time flies, is all" I said staring at my babies, admiring them.
My Luna fell back asleep and Gabe took Luna and placed her back in her crib. Now Leo.
"Come on Leo, you're not tired?" I whispered.
"Alright let's take a walk" I said slowly getting off the chair.
Gabe stayed as I walked around our living room rocking and patting the little Leo in my hands. After he had fell asleep I went back to the room. Luna was still asleep, Thank god. I gently placed the boy in his crib and right when he was placed he woke up and started crying.
I gave Gabe the "are you kidding me" look and took a deep breath.
"Let me take him, go back to sleep mama" Gabe said while kissing my head.
"Fine, but I'll come if Luna wakes up" I said kissing his cheek.
I went back to our room and fell back asleep.
I don't know what is up with Leo but he was not going to sleep. He has been fine with sleep but today is just not his day. I sighed and went to the living room. I sat on the couch where my back was up against the armrest with a pillow there too. I patted the baby's bum.
He wasn't crying but he was really fussy. I placed my head on his.
"Sh sh sh it's ok my son" I said.
It was quiet. Did he fall asleep? I took my head off of him and he started crying. I figured it out! He likes contact probably skin to skin?
That's why he falls asleep with Lui because he is always shirtless to feed them!
I took off my shirt and placed my son on my chest, he was knocked out. I slid down so I was laying down still up a bit so the baby boy wouldn't fall. As my son was asleep I began to fall asleep.
I woke up to the sound of my baby crying and light peaking from the shades on the window. I rubbed my eyes and yawned. I sat up and looked to my side expecting my husband but he wasn't there. I looked at the tablet through the camera and... my son isn't in his crib. Where did they fall asleep?
I went downstairs I went straight to their room first to get Luna. I feed her and calmed her down and once that was done I started looked in the living room and I saw them, my husband sleeping on the couch with our son on his chest. I kissed his head and kissed down a bit of his neck and then his collarbone and when I got to his chest and kissed my babies head.
"Mm? Lui?" He yawned.
"Yup" I said kissing his forehead.
He placed an arm around his son and sat up.
"Fuck, my neck is killing me" he said with a hand on the back of his neck.
"Well yeah you slept on the couch, what cha expect?" I explained.
"Leo needs skin to skin contact to go to sleep or else he won't have it" he explains.
"Should we just move them next to our bed then? It's a hustle to keep going up and down the stairs it's also a miracle we haven't slipped, tripped, or fell down the stairs and then like that we can have a hand or something on Leo in the crib" I said.
"Sounds like a plan to me" He said.
"Ok later we'll move the cribs, give me Leo and I'll feed them can you start on breakfast?"
"Yup I got it, mamas" he said as he stood up and gave me Leo as we shared two kisses, the first was too quick so we shared another.
I softly smiled after he left to the kitchen.
