Just some mile stones and a Halloween story
- smiles (this was at a few weeks old) -
I looked at Luna and held her in my arms. Gabe was holding Leo. Luna opened her eyes and looked up at me.
"Hi, pretty girl" I said while smiling at her.
She smiled and laughed back at me. I felt tears spill out of my eyes.
"Oh god..." I said quietly.
God, I don't deserve this I don't deserve them. I looked at Gabe and he stood there, smiling at us. I kissed Luna's head.
A week later I was holding Leo and he randomly smiled and laughed at me. I don't know if he was making fun of me or what but I don't care I found it cute anyway. I hugged him and teared up a bit too.
- Crawling (7 months) -
"Ok Leo go crawl to papa" Gabe said patting Leo's back.
He was in the crawling position then sat up.
"Dadada!" Leo babbled while his hands hitting the floor.
"Come!" I said.
"Naaadadadada!" He said mad and holding his hands out.
"No you come here!"
"Waaahh!" He cried out.
"Ok, ok!" I said going to him and picking him up while Gabe laughed.
"My poor baby" I said while hugging him and patting his back, trying to hold in my laugh. I found it funny him acting this way.
After a few minutes he stopped crying.
"Let try again?" I said leaning down and set him down on the floor in front of Gabe.
Gabe grabbed him and kissed his cheeks and Leo laughed. Then Gabe place him in the crawling position. I wasn't sitting so far away now.
"Come to papa" I said with my hands out.
He sat back up and sat there for a few minutes. Then he went back down. Gabe crawled to me to show Leo an example of what he's supposed to do. We both cheered him on from the same side now.
"Come, come to dada and papa" Gabe said.
"Eeeeh!"
"Come we're not helping you this time, you need to learn" I said.
He then crawled to me.
"You did it!" I said picking him up and leaning back laying on my back has I held him up and he laughed.
"I think I hear Luna crying I'm gonna check on her" Gabe said.
"Yeah she's crying I hear it too" I said.
"Ok now to teach her" he said.
He got up and came back with her. Leo was crawling around as Luna sat there. I crossed my fingers and prayed she would just get it. She went into the crawling position but then sat back up. She did it four times and looked at us like she needed permission to do it.
"Go crawl, like Leo" Gabe said, sitting behind her and putting her back in the crawling position.
And she did it. She crawled. We had two babies crawling around the living room.
- Halloween -
Me and Lui were looking online for Halloween costumes for our babies.
"Mm what should Luna be? ... Leo should be the devil" he said.
Him and Leo have been... fighting in a way. Leo keeps kicking and screaming with him. Once Leo hit him in the face and Lui gave him to me and stormed off. We don't believe in hitting our kids so whenever we're mad we give the other the kid and cool off.
"Luna should be... Cinderella?" I said.
"That'll be so cute on her!" He said, while adding the costume to the cart.
He then looked up 'devil costumes' for Leo.
"Oh I didn't think you were serious about that" I said.
"Of course I was, that little punk" he said.
He found one in Leo's size and added it to the cart and then he went to the cart where both costumes lived and bought them.
A few days have passed and the two costumes arrived. I picked them up and told Lui they were here. He came with both babies in his arms and placed them on the floor and opened the packages. Lui put on luna's costume on her and I put on Leo's on him.
"Oh you're so cute, Luna!" Lui said while kissing her cheek and she was laughing.
Leo started crying and waving his arms around and opening and closing his hands towards Lui.
"Ma ma ma! Eeeeh!" He said being fussy and about to cry.
"Yes Leo you're a cutie too!" Lui said as he picked up our son, now holding both babies in his arms and kissing their heads.
I hugged Lui with the babies and we shared a kiss.
