Skye's POV

"Well don't just stand there shocked, give us the letter," Lexi told him, taking it from him.

Her reaction was pretty similar to his.

"Well?" Connor asked.

"This doesn't make any sense." Ryan said.

Lexi passed the letter to me.

The whole sheet was blank except for one line in the middle of it.

The line said:

156 Redding Road
Apt. 72
Floor 3

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked.

"We should go there!" Ryan exclaimed.

"Yeah right, I don't want to be murdered." I snorted.

"How ladylike," he replied.

I glared at the back of his head as he turned towards the kitchen.

"It's an apartment building though, someone would hear the screams." Lexi said.

"But if the murderer used chloroform or something," I said.

"I'm pretty sure it's chlorophyll," Ryan called.

"That's the stuff that makes leaves green," I replied.

"What??" He yelped.

"I had to write a horror story for English class and I used Chlorophyll instead of Chloroform. It was supposed to be about killing, not turning people green," he continued.

"Someone's gonna fail," Lexi whispered.

"What was that?" Ryan asked.

"Nothing!" Lexi and I giggled.

"Wait! Guys! I just remembered that Hunter's party is tonight!" Lexi exclaimed.

"No!" I groaned.

She had been bugging me about going to a high school party for a while.

I don't even go to an actual school, so unless I'm going to an online party it's not happening.

"Come on, just one. Your life won't be complete if you don't go to at least one party. Besides you don't have to drink or socialize if you don't want," she begged.

"Ryan can come too!" She yelped.

He looked up confused.

"Did someone say my name?" Ryan asked.

We both rolled our eyes.

I sighed but agreed.

Connor was overly happy to get us out of the house. Suspiciously happy.

But anyway, three hours later we were ready.

I was wearing a cropped sweatshirt and high waisted denim shorts.

The shirt basically said the opposite of the Nike logo, since, let's face it, I'm about as athletic as a potato.

Lexi did my makeup for me. She used gold eyeshadow, and did really thick eyeliner, but it actually came out good.

I ended up just going with a nude lip.

Lexi was bold and did a smoky eye and red lipstick.

She had on a Starbucks crop top and high waisted white shorts.

We decided to meet the boys at the party.

I grabbed a pair of combat boots from my closet and we headed out the door.
