Chapter 36

Lexi's POV

My phone suddenly started vibrating in my pocket.

I checked, and saw that it was an unknown number.

Ryan suddenly snatched the phone from my hand and shouted, "Ooh! I want to pick it up!"

I rolled my eyes. I have to admit, their acting was really good, for a moment there I was actually convinced, but Hunter wouldn't cheat again, he loves me.

Ryan answered the phone, but soon looked confused.

He put it on speaker and said, "Uh oh, spaghettios!"

"Actually, I've never even had spaghettios," he continued.

"Shut up!" Skye said.

Then I heard a nasally voice say, "Oh Hunter! I love you so much!"

"I love you too, Jess," slurred Hunter.

My jaw dropped.

"Do you love me more than Lexi?" The girl giggled.

"Yes," I heard Hunter say.

I felt tears streaming down my face as I hung up.

"Come on Lex, let's get you home," Skye said softly.

I let out a sob and ran towards the bathroom.

I leaned against the wall and slid to the floor.

I don't know how long I was in there, but I snapped out of it when somebody walked in.

I had never seen her before, but she walked over and kneeled beside me.

"Are you okay?" She inquired.

She had short blonde hair and blue eyes.

I sniffled before nodding.

"Aren't you that girl that hangs out with Skye and Ryan? Ryan is my cousin by the way, I haven't been stalking you guys," She asked, causing me to laugh a bit.

"My name is Charlie," she told me.

"Lexi," I replied.

"Was it Hunter?" She asked.

I nodded.

"I know what kind of person Hunter is, he just doesn't think sometimes. Besides, he was probably drunk," She said.

"Yeah..." I trailed off.

"Let's get you back to Skye and Ryan, they must be so worried." She told me.

She was right, Skye and Ryan were really relieved to see me.

We were walking when I collapsed and started sobbing.

Skye whispered something in Ryan's ear, and he nodded.

"Up you go," He said as he lifted me.

Ryan drove us home, seeing as I was too shaky to, and Skye was in the back with me comforting me.

Skye's POV

Seeing Lexi like this was awful. I wish she had just listened to us, rather than having to receive the news through the phone call.

She was still wobbly, and would start crying at random moments.

Connor was probably going to murder Hunter if he found out.

We brought Lexi up to her room, and I picked out something for her to wear to bed.

"Do you want to watch a movie or just go straight to bed?" I asked.

"Bed," she replied.

"Okay, night Lex," I said.

She nodded and headed off to her room.

"Why would Hunter do something like this?" Ryan asked.

I shrugged. Just a couple days ago we were all at the beach where they were kissing and Hunter made her sushi.

"It's a good thing my cousin found her," Ryan said.

"You didn't tell me you had a cousin our age!" I scolded.

"You never asked," he replied.

I rolled my eyes.

"Anyway, I was thinking of remodeling Lexi's room as well as mine to take her mind off of Hunter," I told him.

"Good idea, but I don't think the fumes are good for pregnant women," he said.

"But neither of us are pregnant," I said slowly.

"In that case it's fine!" He exclaimed.

I sighed.

*The next day*

We all headed to the paint store first. I decided on gray walls.

Lexi decided on navy walls with white borders along the top and bottom.

Next we headed to the furniture store.

When Connor heard about what happened he told us to spend as much money as we needed.

Even though we told him it wasn't necessary, he insisted.

We got Lexi navy and white chevron bedding, a white and gold desk, a white bedside table, a white and navy lamp, a white couch, a TV, and pillows for her room.

We also bought stuff for her bathroom.

I ended up getting mostly grey furniture with pops of light blue/mint.

We managed to drag Ryan to some makeup and clothing stores.

When we got home, we were surprised to see that everyone who had been in O2l was here.

"We came to comfort and help decorate!" Sam exclaimed.

They apparently had already emptied the furniture from our rooms.

We had been painting Lexi's walls when I felt something cold on my face.

I looked towards Ryan who was laughing.

I flicked some paint back at him.

It soon turned into a full on paint war.

"Guys!" Connor yelled.

We all paused throwing paint at each other.

"Yeah?"

"We aren't going to have enough paint if we keep throwing it," he said.

By the time we were done with Lexi's room it looked amazing.

The walls were all navy now, but since most of the furniture was white it would balance out the darkness.

Against one of the walls was her desk and chair.

Above the desk she had a a clothesline with Polaroid pictures hanging on it, and we had also taken black paint and written quotes.

She had a huge, white, fluffy rug that all the pets loved to roll on.

In her bathroom she had a vanity where we arranged all of her makeup.

My room had three pale grey walls and one dark grey one.

My bed was against the dark grey one.

I had gotten dark grey bedding and had folded a bright pale blue blanket at the foot of the bed.

Along one of the light grey walls was my desk and light blue chair.

My bathroom also had a vanity. I had tried my best to arrange my makeup.

After the decorating was done, we decided to all go to the movies.

Lexi seemed happy until one of the boys asked her what happened.

Then she started crying again.
