The Fall

Chaos ruled the castle as Harry and Voldemort started fighting. Screams echoed from every hall, spells lighting up the air as. We were entering the Great Hall when I saw her, my aunt Bellatrix. She moved with ease, an evil smile plastered on her face. She twirled her wand ready to attack. It looked like the Weasley's were her target. No way in Hell.

While Molly's back was turned, Bellatrix cast a curse towards her, only for it to be deflected by Ginny in the nick of time. I try to rush over to pull Ginny into a hug. But I couldn't move. Then Molly snapped. "NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!" Molly Weasley became a force of nature. Wand raised. Ready to protect her family. My family. They shot a few spells at each other, fiery streaks of color swirling around them as they duel. Bellatrix laughed, he excited cackle like she was enjoying herself. But Molly wasn't playing. She was a badass. Every flick of her wand held rage. Bellatrix blocked them all. Until... It all happened so fast. Bella got cocky and taunted Molly, causing her to miss her spell. Then Molly's spell hit. A burst of light. A gasp. With one last blast, Bellatrix Lestrange exploded into a pieces of fabric and dust. She was gone.

Molly stood proudly but panting, her wand still trembling in her hand. I walk over to Ginny and we looked  up at Molly, shocked but proud. She pulls Ginny and I into her embrace. "That was brilliant Molly, scary but brilliant." I say as she pulls away. "Thank you Asteria. You know I'll do anything for my family. Including you." She replies, smiling.

We don't get long to chat because multiple cracks of magic echo throughout the Great Hall. Our heads jerk to the source of the loud bangs. Then came the loudest bang. Before we knew it we were already moving. We burst through the ruined archway and out into the courtyard. Debris littered the pathway. The walls were burnt and cracked. And at the center of all the destruction. Harry was fighting face-to-face with Voldemort, their wands raised, magic shooting from their wands. My eyes drifted to the right. My stomach drops. Ron and Hermione were cornered, crouching behind a fallen statue. Nagini was slithering towards them. The massive snake lunged, her fangs ready to pierce their skin. Then, Neville emerges. The Sword raised in his hands. With a brave cry he bought the sword down, slicing Nagini in half. She wriggled for a second longer, then stilled. Finally dead. That was the last Horcrux. Wasn't it.

Across the courtyard, Voldemort screamed. Realising all his horcruxes had been destroyed. Harry pushed forward. The two of them stood opposite each other. Green light erupted from Voldemort's wand, red in Harry's. Then like a burst of lightning. The two colours clashed. Bringing me back to that night at the Graveyard, when they dueled exactly like this. I feel a hand grab mine, my fingers intertwining with his. We watch in silence as Harry never breaks concentration. Inch by inch, the red swallowed the green. Until, a burst of blinding light, the connection snapped. Voldemort's wand flew from his hand. And Harry caught it.

The Elder Wand in Harry's hand. Voldemort now powerless, he stared at Harry for a moment before his body began to disintegrate into dust and fabric, just like Bella had gone. The battle was finally over, but Hogwarts was a mess. The sun streamed through the holes in the ceiling, giving the Great Hall a golden glow. The long tables were now pushed aside, cots and mattresses lined the walls, some with students wrapped up in blankets resting. Madam Pomfrey was hovering over some students giving out healing medicine to the wounded.

I sat backwards on a chair, my chin resting on the top. Just watching Stella thread daisy's through Luna's hair. What a strange thing to do. Looks pretty though. "Do you want some in your hair Astra." Stella asks. I nod back a reply. Too tired to speak after the disastrous night. "Did you know daisies are considered a symbol of rebirth? It's rather fitting. Hogwarts could use a little rebirth." Luna spoke, her usual bright and bubbly tone. "Yeah. And a roofing crew." Atti spoke. When did he show up. They share cute glances at each other before Luna speaks again. "You're limping," "You should see the other guy," Atti replied. She tilted her head. "I did. He exploded." Luna sang. He sits down beside her and pulled out a little dark blue box, from his pants pocket. "What's this?" Luna asks confused as he just placed it in her lap. "Open it." Atti gestures. Stella and I cant take our eyes away as Luna opens up the box.

Sunlight caught on the edges of the ring, making it shimmer. The band was silver. But instead of a diamond in the center, it was a pretty gemstone in the shape of a strawberry. Just like her earrings. Then I couldn't take my eyes off the midnight-blue velvet interior of the box. It sparkled like a tiny galaxy behind it.

Luna just... stared. "Oh," she breathed softly. Then she smiles dreamily. "It's very me, isn't it?" She beams. "Yeah. I thought so." Atti replies, softly eagerly waiting for a response. Stella gasped dramatically, slapping Atti's arm. "Atticus Gaunt! This is the least dramatic proposal I've ever seen in my life!" I nod in agreement, wiping the tear away in my eye. "Honestly, Atti!" I spoke, shrugging my shoulders. Luna slipped the ring on her finger. The fit was perfect. Then she leaned forward and kissed Atti like we weren't in the room. Passionate and full of love.

"Do we take that as a yes" Stella whispers ever so quietly in my ear. "I think so" I shrug. "Lets leave the lovebirds to it" Stella whispers again, grabbing my arm. I know who she wants to see. "Sure we can go check on my brother." I mutter. "You know me too well." She replies, grinning. "Its so obvious Stella." I chuckle.

We find my brother sitting with Blaise and Theo, in the corner perched up on the piled up seats along the wall. They laugh as we get closer. "What's so funny" I announce, their eyes flick up to greet us. "Get over here. You have to hear this" Draco beams. Stella smiles and walks over to sit un Draco's lap. They both turn red. I give both Blaise and Theo a hug, then we sit down to listen to what they found funny. "I'm sorry about Snape Astra" Draco starts. "Thanks." I beam back with a fake smile. "I know that's fake." Blaise says. "Wait till you hear what Theo has to say. I know it will put a real smile on your face." He tells me. "Soo after Draco rudely forgot me when he broke us out if the dungeons." Theo started, glaring at my brother. "Oh your alive Theo get over it." Draco chuckles back, intertwining his fingers with Stella's. "Anyway, I was stuck with Pansy! When we were running through the halls dodging spells. We had to take cover behind some overturned desks. A spell shot at the wall behind us. And the pillar collapsed crushing Pansy who was a few inches behind me." Theo starts snickering. We all have a laugh about how Pansy died.
