"Lil-chan!"

I stop in my tracks and turn a scowl on Oikawa. "Call me Lily, or I'll start calling you Crappykawa like Iwa-san does." And I keep walking.

Unfazed, he comes alongside me and ruffles my hair. "Now, now, Lil-chan, don't think you can get rid of me that easily."

I knock his hand away and he stuffs it in his pocket.

"Besides, I'm still coming to practice, so don't worry, you'll still get to see me," he gives me a sideways glance through his glasses and smirks.

"Pfffft," I roll my eyes and look away, then twist back so fast he jumps. "Wait, you're still coming to practice?"

Amusement replaces his surprise. "I can't leave my underclassmen to flounder without me, so of course!" He grins.

It's impossible to not grin back, so I turn away again to hide it from him. "What about your studies?" I ask, also to hide that this makes me way happier than the information merits.

"Hmmm, you're right..." he hums.

I look at him to see him tapping his lip thoughtfully.

"I know!" He looks at me and holds a finger in the air. "I'll just come to your house after practice and we'll do our homework together to make sure I get it done!"

His smile is way too innocent to be believed. I narrow my eyes at him. "Why not your house?"

He waves his hand at me as if I shouldn't be asking such silly questions. "My nephew will be over. There's no way he'll let us focus."

"Oh. Okay. I think my parents will be working on a project, so if they recruit the twins, we shouldn't have a problem focusing at my place." And it's probably a good idea if I skip out on free practice with the city league for at least a couple days. I don't want to make things even more awkward between Daisuke and I. I'll have to let Kyotani know.

We reach my first class and Oikawa waves goodbye. "Sounds like a plan. See you at practice, Lil-chan!"

"Hey!" I shout after him, but he disappears down the hall.

I scowl at all the girls glaring at me and go into class.

Oikawa follows me into my house after we walk our usual route from practice and I dump my stuff on the couch. He sets his things nicely by the door, which makes me smile.

"Mom, Dad, I'm home!" I lean over the stairwell and shout to make sure they can hear me. "Oikawa is here too!" I add, figuring it would be better to give them a heads up rather than surprise them should they gander upstairs.

I turn back to Oikawa to tell him he can sit wherever he'd like when the sound of pounding feet and shrieking signals my sisters' approach. My attention leaves the third-year and I drop into a ready position just in time to be tackled by a pair of brunette curls and matching overalls. I grunt, taking the impact and rolling to wrestle the both of them into a pin.

"Alright you two, calm down. We have a guest."

My sisters stop giggling long enough to notice Oikawa standing there, looking a bit terrified.

"Oikawa, meet my sisters, Andi and Quinn," I nod them out in turn. "Girls, this is—"

"Hi, I'm Oikawa! But you can call me Uncle Tōru!" Oikawa recovers quickly, gives them his most endearing grin, and waves.
