As it turned out, I didn't need to show anyone how bad ass I was, let alone everyone.
Everyone was drunk off their feet besides me and Luke, who had only had one or two each.
No one had even noticed the occurrence, which was, in my opinion, good.
Luke was more than slightly miffed that no one even bothered to notice that a 16 year old girl almost got raped, but I told him it was just as well, because I didn't want that kind of attention.
That calmed him down some, but it took me saying "I love this song!" and starting to try and get him to dance with me to fully ease his mind again.

"Then you lost your shoes as it started to rain, and your jeans soaked through but you smiled anyway! Throw our hearts in the air, hearts in the air, hearts in the aiiiiir! We're catching lightning in a bottle! Don't give a fuck about tomorrow! Yeah we're dancing in the backseat, we don't need gravity,  here in the afterglow! Yeah we're rolling with the thunder! Now take a breath we're going under! We're getting busy on the backstreets, we don't need gravity, here in the afterglow!" Luke and I sang loudly, being the only ones sober enough to get the words right.
Luke and I danced like there was no tomorrow, clapping and whipping our hair, and him even twirling me a few times.
In the back of my mind, I knew that tomorrow I was probably going to have a panic attack because of almost being raped, but in that moment, I was free and happy and dancing like there was no tomorrow.
After Lightning In A Bottle ended, Rock Show came on, which is another awesome song to dance to, so we danced.

After another hour or so, Luke and I decided that we we were both tired, and that we should head home.

We didn't bother to say goodbye to anyone, since they wouldn't remember it in the morning anyway.
Luke was okay to drive, since he had only had two drinks a few hours before, so we got in his car and drove the short distance from Michael's to Luke's.

Being like 3 am, we quietly creeped into the dark hour in attempt to not wake anyone up.
We snuck upstairs and went into the bathroom to brush our teeth, and I could remove my makeup as well.
"I guess I'll see you in the morning," Luke said. "Goodnight."
"Night, Hemmings," I said, affectionately ruffling his hair.
He laughed, and walked out of the bathroom to his room and shutting the door.
I brushed my hair and retreated to my room, stripping out of my clothes and pulling on one of the shirts Luke had given me to wear instead of Jake's.
He actually knocked on the bedroom door one day with a stack of shirts in his arms, and when I opened it, he said "well I figured you wouldn't want Jake's shirts, so I thought you might want some more of mine?".
That line earned him a big hug and a grateful grin.
I turned off the lamp and crawled under the covers, clutching my bear like a child as I tried to block out the memories of Shane's hand on my arm, pulling me along, not to much avail.
I finally fell into a fitful sleep, tossing and turning in my bed.

::::

Shane hovered over me, wearing no clothes much like myself, and why I had no clothes was a mystery to me.
He had my arms pinned above my head with one of his hands over my slim wrists and the other over my mouth, drowning my terrified screams.
"You'll do what I say," he growled, about to force himself in me.

Then I woke up.

I was crying, and curled in a ball as if to protect myself from further attack.
I didn't hear anyone else, which meant I hadn't woken anyone up.

I prayed to God that these dreams wouldn't continue after tonight, considering that that was the most terrifying dream I'd ever had.

Stupid fear. Escalating what would scare anyone.

I never got nightmares, so this was especially bad, as I wasn't used to it in anyway.

All I wanted to do was forgot what had happened, and I fell asleep still crying, terrified just to sleep again.

A/N: yeah yeah I know it's crap but it's 1 am give me a break.
