"Hi guys, it's Troye, and I'm joined today by some very special guests!"
The camera panned to us.
"Hi!" We all shouted.
"5 Seconds of Summer! And Paris!" Troye laughed.
"I'm so alone!" I joked dramatically.
Troye chuckled. "You guys know I absolutely love the band, and Paris is like a better female combination of all of the boys, so it's a bonus." He smirked.
"HA!" I shouted triumphantly as the boys protested.
We all giggled, as Troye talked some more about what was happening, why we were there, and included us in the discussion.
Pretty soon, the video was done, and we all took the party to the living room, where Troye and I crashed on the couch to edit (editing tips hehehe anyone who doesn't follow Dan and Phil won't get this oml).
The boys began goofing off around the room, turning on the TV and starting up Just Dance.
I recorded them for a while, knowing the fans would get a kick out of it, then chatted with Troye while he edited.
Troye treated me like he had known me for years, and I was very thankful because I didn't feel as nervous.
At one point, Troye glanced up from his laptop to the boys.
"I know I have a boyfriend, but they're all really hot."
I giggled. "I know right."
"Well you could probably have your pick of any of them," Troye pointed out.
I laughed, shaking my head. "They're like my older brothers. Well, except for Luke."
"I knew you liked him!" Troye declared quietly.
"I don't," I shook my head again. "Our relationship is just different. It's more like best friends and protector. He's always there for me."
"Then date!" Troye said frustratedly.
I was certainly glad the boys were in their own little world.
"He'd never like someone like me," I told Troye.
"Haven't you seen the way he looks at you?" Troye asked.
"Like a friend?" I suggested,
Troye shook his head vigorously. "Like he loves you."
"He'd never love someone like me," I blushed.
"Someone beautiful, kind, intelligent, and funny?" Troye asked, with a hint of sass.
"Someone insecure, someone normal, someone average, someone who's actually an absolute mess," I corrected him. "Besides, I've been down that road."
Troye frowned, but moved on. "What do you mean?"
"I was in love with Luke for the longest time. Before I even met him. And then I tried to get over him. I got a boyfriend. I loved him. But then he turned out to be a douche. So now I'm back to square one," I said with a slight chuckle at the end.
"Guys are complicated," Troye said.
"They really are," I agreed. "Girls are easy: cuddles, food, Netflix."
Troye laughed. "That doesn't help me."
"Or me," I giggled.
"Stupid boys."
----
We hung out with Troye until about 4, when we headed back to the hotel.
We went to a small restaurant for dinner, met a few fans, then came back and watched TV for an hour.
I declared that I was going to bed because someone had nominated me to sing in front of Troye, and I had to sound good and feel good, pun intended.
----
The next day flew by, and all of a sudden I was on stage in black combat boots, bright pink jeans, and a black "rocker!" tee.
Halfway into the show Michael turned over to me and smirked.
"So we have a special guest here tonight," he told the crowd. "He's in the crowd."
"He's a native of Perth," Calum added. "He's a Youtuber."
"And a musician. Paris is a very big fan, and we promised him she would sing something."
"It's Mr. Troye Sivan!" Ashton called, causing the whole crowd to roar at an incomprehensible decibel.
The jumbotron flashed to Troye, who was laughing and waving at the camera.
"And because I'm a nice person, I'll fulfill that promise," I said, walking to the front of the stage.
The lights dimmed a bit, and a chair and a keyboard were sat down in the middle of the stage.
I tilted my mic stand so I could sit on my chair and sing at the same time.
"I hope you guys don't mind, but I'm going to slow it down a tad," I apologized, leading the crowd to cheer softly, if that makes sense.
"How many of you know the song Close As Stangers?" I asked the crowd.
This time the crowd really roared.
I grinned, switching on the piano and placing my fingers on the correct keys to start.
I began playing, and the boys joined in one by one as the arena filled with sound of music.
I began singing.
"Six weeks since I've been away, and now you're saying everything has changed..."
The boys sang back up, and I actually managed not to have my voice crack at the really high or really low bits.
As I played the last notes of the song, the cheers of the crowd came back into perspective and I grinned out at the mass of people.
"Much wow," Michael commented.
"Very voice," Calum added.
I chuckled, blushing as I stood up, resetting my mic stand as the keyboard and chair were whisked away and Luke interacted with crowd a bit.
"Paris is of the opinion that we don't play our older stuff enough," Luke said.
"You don't," I said adamantly. I turned to the crowd: "How many of you wish they would play songs like Disconnected, Wherever You Are, If You Don't Know, and Try Hard more often?!"
A huge roar came in answer.
"Told you so," I said to the boys sassily.
They chuckled and rolled their eyes, but agreed to play another classic, this time it was Independence Day.
....
When the show was over, and I checked my phone, I had a text from Troye.
"You were amazing!"
I grinned. "Thanks! I was really nervous but I managed!"
We texted on and off for couple hours, until we were finally back at the hotel and we crashed into bed.
I would call that day a success:
-didn't mess up my song
-Troye thought I was good
-convinced the boys to play more oldies
....
Concert days were usually best, because I could fall into a deep abyss of sleep where no nightmares about Shane could reach, but that night the rule didn't seems to apply.
A few hours into my sleep I woke up in a cold sweat with tear stained cheeks.
I glanced at Luke quickly, but he was sound asleep.
I breathed a sigh of relief, because it was just a dream and Luke was still asleep.
I laid back down, breathing deeply as I let myself drift back asleep, which took hours.
I was utterly terrified of having another nightmare.
Was I ever going to be okay?
