oh yeah idk if I mentioned bUT I'M GOING TO SOUNDS LIVE FEELS LIVE IN JULY!!!!
Luke's P.O.V.
7 days of sneaking around and cuddling in private blended together until it was finally Christmas Eve.
I had finished Paris's song completely a few days ago, but I wanted to get her something tangible to go along with it.
I told Paris I had to run some errands, technically the truth, and dropped her at Michael's to play video games.
I picked up Mali on the way, knowing she would know what to get Paris.
"So what are you looking for, exactly?" Mali asked me.
"I'm not sure. Something meaningful and beautiful."
"Like her," I added.
Mali gave me a knowing smile. "You guys are together, aren't you?"
"Pffffft, no," I tried to lie.
"Don't even try," Mali laughed.
"Luke!" She grinned. "I'm so happy for you!"
I blushed. "Thanks. But don't tell anyone, okay? We want to keep it under wraps for awhile. We don't know when we're gonna tell everyone."
"Your secret's safe with me," Mali promised. "How long have you two been together?"
"Only about a week," I answered.
"A week?" Mali asked with a smile. "Your mum totally knows by now."
"Probably," I shrugged.
"Who's idea was it to wait?" Mali asked.
"Paris's," I replied. "She wants to get used to everything. She's been hurt before, and um... She's just scared, I think."
Mali nodded. "Understandable. She's a sweet girl, I don't know how someone could hurt her."
"He was a dickface who was one hell of an actor," I said.
Mali wrinkled her nose. "Those are the worst kind."
I nodded.
"Well she's lucky to have you, at least," Mali said.
I smiled. "You think so?"
"So long as you don't fuck it up, that is, Hemmings," Mali said, punching my arm.
"Ow!" I complained.
"You know you may be 6"4", a sex God to millions of fan, and have a gorgeous girl on your arm, but you really are the same little teenage boy I knew when you and Calum started hanging out."
"Thanks," I said, trailing off. "I think."
Mali laughed, and I pulled the car into a spot near the entrance.
"So any ideas?" I asked her. "For Paris?"
"How about jewelry?" Mali suggested. "Something personal that she'll love."
"That sounds perfect," I grinned.
Maybe promise ring was a little much, but jewelry sounded like a good idea.
Mali led me to the store and started pounding me with questions on the way.
"Silver or gold?"
"Silver."
"Diamonds or gemstones?"
"I don't know!"
"Necklace, ring, bracelet, earrings?"
"I'm not sure, necklace maybe?"
Mali tsked at my uncertainty, leading me up to the counter of a jewelry store.
"Hello," the saleswoman smiled. "What can I help you with today?"
"I'm looking for something for my girlfriend," I explained.
"Silver or gold?" The saleswoman asked Mali.
"Silver," Mali replied.
"What type of jewelry are we looking for today?" she asked.
"I'm not sure," I said apprehensively with a shrug.
"Well what do you like? It's for you, isn't it?" The saleswoman asked Mali.
"Oh, no, no," Mali and I exclaimed together.
"I'm just helping him," Mali said. "I'm his friend's sister."
"Whoops, sorry," the saleswoman apologized. "So what do you think your girlfriend would want?"
"A necklace I think?" I said, uncertain. "She seems to wear them the most."
"Do you want it to be personal?" She inquired.
I nodded.
"What sort of stuff does she like?"
"Music. And writing. Anything creative really. And coffee," I answered.
"Disney?" The saleswoman quirked a brow.
"She loves Disney!" I lit up.
"What if we did three charms on a silver chain? Like a music note, something Disney, and something else she likes?" The saleswoman suggested.
"That would be perfect!" I grinned.
"So what stands out about your girlfriend? What makes her special?"
"Well she's the most kind and witty person you'll ever meet. She's gorgeous. Um.... She's from Canada, so she talks in the cutest accent. She's an amazing singer. Her favourite animal is a polar bear. I don't know what you're looking for..." I trailed off.
"Well it just so happens we have this little silver polar bear with a diamond maple leaf from our North collection," the saleswoman smiled.
"That's perfect!" I said happily.
So the saleswoman strung all three charms on a chain so they hung as a cluster in the middle.
"Do you approve?" I asked Mali.
"I feel like the back of the Disney one should be engraved," she said slowly.
"For our own fairytale, Love Luke?" I suggested.
"Perfect," Mali agreed.
"That will take about a half hour," the saleswoman said.
"We'll be back," I nodded. "Thank you."
