The flight to Paris was long and boring, but the anticipation of being in the City of Love was enough for me to not whine to Luke the whole way.
When we finally arrived, I was grinning like a madwoman from ear to ear and was squeezing Luke's hand like a vice.
"Excited?" Luke asked jokingly.
"How could you tell?" I joked back.
"Gee I don't know," Luke said sarcastically. He grinned, and pressed a kiss to my neck. "Settle down, love. We'll see the sights soon enough."
"I know, I know," I said with a wide smile. "But we're in the city of love!"
Luke smirked. "Perfect." He wiggled his eyebrows cheekily.
I giggled, playfully slapping his arm. "Oh stop."
Michael rolled his eyes. "Luke go away, you're trying to be suggestive and it's weird."
Luke pouted and I laughed.
"It's okay," I consoled him. "I love you anyway."
I kissed his cheek and Michael pretended to gag.
I flicked his forehead. "You go away Michael. I'm in love with him."
Luke smiled and Michael did too, though he tried to hide it.
Once at the hotel, I discovered Luke and I had our own room and the other three boys were sharing another.
Luke unlocked the door to our room and stepped back so I could walk in first.
"Oh Luke!" I gasped in astonishment upon seeing the room. "It's beautiful!"
It was all done in soft pinks and creams, with mahogany furniture.
We had one queen size bed, a huge bathtub, and an amazing view of the city. This hotel was by far the nicest we had stayed in yet.
"Like it?" He asked, smirking at me. He obviously planned this.
"I love it! Thank you!" I kissed his jaw, having to go up on my tiptoes since he was standing up straight.
Luke chuckled, wrapping an arm around me. "You're welcome, love. I thought you'd like it."
"It's perfect! Now, hurry, I want to see some sights before dinner!"
Luke changed into a fresh white t shirt and a black leather jacket, pulling on a grey beanie to shield him from the January cold.
I pulled my hair from its ponytail, leaving the soft waves as they were.
I threw on a pair of dark blue jeans and a white cable knit sweater. I shrugged on a thick, light grey trench-style coat that I had brought and a bright white scarf. I too pulled on a beanie, also white, and tucked my phone and some money into my pocket.
"Okay," I declared, finally ready. "Let's go."
"Finally," Luke joked.
"It's been 7 minutes," I laughed, grabbing his hand.
Luke and I explored the streets of Paris for over an hour, our breaths creating clouds in the frosty air.
We ducked in and out of shops, including a bakery where we got coffee to warm our frigid hands.
I took countless pictures, as well as vlog for my ever-growing YouTube channel, and was sad when we had to return to the hotel.
"We still have tomorrow to roam around all day, the show's not till Monday," Luke reminded me.
"I know, but it's just so beautiful!"
"Like you."
Calum heard this, since he was walking behind us, and pretended to throw up.
"Okay maybe that was a bit much," Luke admitted.
I simply laughed.
The next day was spent travelling around Paris with the boys, shopping an taking picture after picture of the boys and the scenery. More than a few times I had to yell at the boys to get out of my shot while trying to photograph a landmark or something pretty.
At 5 o'clock, Luke finally had to drag me back to the hotel room.
"But LuUuuuuUke!" I whined.
"C'mon, I don't think you'll hate what I have planned too much," Luke smiled, nudging my shoulder as we rode the elevator.
I instantly perked up. "What is it?"
"It's a surprise," he smirked. "But dress up."
I beamed. "Now I'm excited!"
Luke laughed when I basically ran off the elevator and to our room.
I unlocked the door in a flash and hurried to my suitcase to pick out an outfit.
I chose a black dress with a tight sweetheart bodice, but black lace came up to my collar bones in a boat neck style and came down in skin tight sleeves. The skirt flared out, and was cut above my knee. Feeling confident, I chose a pair of glittery silver stilettos and a matching clutch purse.
I changed into my dress and loosely curled my hair, deciding on a makeup look that was bold yet simple. A silver smokey eye, winged eyeliner, a lot of mascara, and a red lip so dark it could've been mistaken for black in certain lighting.
I was fairly certain Luke's jaw was going to drop and I couldn't wait.
"C'mon, Lukey! We should go!" I called, sliding my heels.
Luke appeared, looking dapper in a black suit and deep red bow tie, and, as I predicted, stared at me with an open mouth.
I laughed and tapped his chin with a black-painted nail. "Careful, you'll catch flies."
Luke managed a smile but his eyes were still glassy with something I can only describe as awe.
"You never fail to surprise me," he smiled, encircling my waist in his arms.
"How so?" I asked, admiring the beautiful blue of his eyes as I looked up at him.
"Well first off where in the hell did you get this dress because it's fucking sexy," Luke said, sucking in a breath.
I laughed. "I picked it up in a shop back in London. I wanted to save it for a special occasion."
"And the shoes..." He said, his voice sounding slightly tight as he admired the heels. "They make your legs look even more fantastic than usual."
"Boutique yesterday," I answered.
"Feel free to wear them and the dress around whenever," he breathed, brushing his lips against my neck.
I giggled at his reaction to the dress and shoes, and Luke's response was to squeeze my bum.
I gasped in surprise at his blatant cheekiness, but laughed immediately after, because Luke's grin was just too much.
"We really should go, Luke," I persisted.
"I don't wanna," he whined. "I wanna stay here and make out for an hour or two."
Again, I only laughed. "As tempting as that sounds, there are plenty of hotel rooms, that are not in Paris, that we can do that in. So let's go."
Luke groaned, but let go of me and put on his shoes.
"At least get some pictures," he bargained, handing me his phone.
I smiled and accepted, pulling him in with me to take a few mirror selfies as well as regular ones.
"Let me take some just of you!" Luke begged.
I rolled my eyes cheekily but agreed, standing on the balcony so the beautiful Paris sunset would be apparent. Luke took countless shots on my camera, until finally I made him switch places so I could get some of him.
"Okay, now we're going to be late," I told Luke as I locked the balcony door. "We need to go."
Refreshingly, Luke didn't protest, and we finally left.
Upon reaching the restaurant, I couldn't help but gasp a bit. It was a tall building, complete glass, and had a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower, which was all lit up.
"Luke it's perfect! You thought of everything!" I smiled, hugging him quickly before pulling his hand to follow me inside. "Now hurry up I'm cold."
The restaurant was extremely posh, and they whisked away our coats and led us to the golden elevator.
"It must have been a nightmare to get a reservation," I commented as we ascended.
"Oh it was," Luke told me. "Especially since I insisted on the private top floor."
"What?" I gasped. "That must have cost you a fortune! You shouldn't have!"
"I wanted to," Luke said, waving off my concerns about him spending that much money on me. "But being in the biggest band no one has ever heard of has its perks."
I laughed at the term for the band they had picked up over time, and smiled widely when the elevator doors opened.
"It's gorgeous!" I exclaimed. "The view is amazing!"
I turned to Luke. "You really thought of everything, eh?"
Luke chuckled. "There's my little Canadian."
I rolled my eyes but laughed. "Oh shove it Mr. All-Australian."
He laughed and took my hand, leading me towards the singular table in the room, which was right up against the glass wall facing the Eiffel Tower.
He pulled my chair out for me and I smiled. "What a gentleman!"
"I try," he grinned, sitting down in his own chair.
Dinner was magical, what with the view of the Paris skyline and the to die for food. Luke was also being extra romantic. All too soon, we finished dessert and had to leave, but I supposed it was just as well because I was wiped.
"Any further plans for tonight?" Luke asked me on the car ride back to the hotel.
"Maybe a bit of editing videos, studying, and then sleep," I replied.
Luke pouted.
"You had something else in mind?" I inquired with a quirked brow and a laugh.
"Maybe a bit of cuddling, making out, and TV?" Luke suggested.
"Oh twist my arm," I agreed easily. I could edit and study during sound check the next day.
Luke just grinned.
