My blog is more festive than your whole family^

I hastened to get ready, wanting to look amazing for my first true night out.

I showered, drying my hair meticulously after the fact.
I pulled my hair into a messy bun to keep it out of my way, then carefully stepped into a golden-apricot coloured strapless dress with a sequinned bodice.
I applied a golden smoky eye and winged eye liner, topping off my eyes with some jet black mascara. I brushed my face with a golden powder, making my face glow.
For someone who rarely wore makeup, I had quite a collection of it.
Finally, I pulled my hair out of its messy bun and brushed it till there were no tangles.
Then, I took out my curling wand and curled the bottom half of my long brown hair, enjoying the mermaid look it entailed. I put my glasses back on immediately after finishing my hair so I could actually see.
I spritzed myself with my Wonderstruck perfume before finding my golden bangles, music note necklace, and Rose earrings and putting them on.
As a final touch, I found my deep red lipstick and perfectly swiped my lips with the stuff.
I slipped on my black bow flats then examined myself in the mirror, grinning at my reflection.
I looked good.

Just as I was about to open the bathroom door, I heard Ashton calling.
"C'mon Paris, it's time to go!"
I smiled to myself, then pulled open the door, walking with my usual small quick steps despite my long legs.
I grabbed my black clutch and stuffed my phone and lipstick in it, as well as £50.
"Paris!" Calum shouted, unaware that I was on my way.
"Coming!"
I rushed through the connecting door into the other room where the boys were, grinning as a brushed a rouge piece of hair out of my face.

The boys all turned around, going wide eyed when they saw me.
My face fell slightly, my hands clasping together self-consciously.
"Too much?" I asked, seeing they were all in different variations of black jeans and jackets.
"No," Luke shook his head furiously. "You look amazing."
"Gorgeous."
"Wow."
"I still don't know where you've been hiding t-"
Calum was cut off with a smack to the back of the head from Luke.
I giggled. "Thanks guys."
"It's true," Ashton said nonchalantly, grabbing his phone off the table and turning to go.

As I made to go, I saw a flash and whipped my head around to find Luke with his phone held in front of his face, a shit eating grin on his face.
"Luke!" I shrieked. "What are you doing?!"
"Taking pictures of you," Luke answered casually, snapping another one.
"No they're probably horrible!" I complained.
"They look great!"
I actually laughed at that.
Luke snapped another picture, his face lighting up at the results.
"Let me see!" I demanded, stomping over in my little flats to his towering figure.
He pointed the screen of his phone at me, showing me the photo he had just taken.
It was actually good, to my surprise.
My eyes were bright and my cheeks flushed from the boys' compliments, I was mid laugh, and the lighting was just right so I appeared to be glowing.
"I told you it was good," Luke said in an I-Told-You-So tone.
"It's okay," I admitted.
"So I can post it?" Luke asked, looking hopeful.
"Fine," I harrumphed. "But I get to pick the filter."
Luke grinned, hurrying out the door with his eyes glued to his phone.
I followed after him, rolling my eyes as I turned off the lights and closed the door.

When we were finally in the cab, I snatched Luke's phone and scrolled through filters until I finally decided on Claredon.
I handed the phone back to Luke, who grinned at it and began typing.
"What's up with him?" Michael asked him.
"He took a picture of me and is going to post it," I shrugged.
Michael rolled his eyes. "He's weird."
I nodded, glancing in Luke's direction and attempting to stifle a laugh.
"I can hear you guys, you know," Luke said, still typing.
"Well you are," Michael said.
"Yeah," Calum and Ashton agreed.
"Whatever," Luke rolled his eyes and tapping his phone one last time. "It's posted to Twitter, Instagram, and this-" he paused to snap a picture of me.
"LUKE!" I screeched, hiding my face.
"-is going on Snapchat."
I groaned, and Luke chuckled evilly.
"You're just going to get flooded with hate," I reminded him.
"Check your phone," Luke said in way of response.
I shrugged, pulling out my phone and seeing a kajillion Twitter and Instagram notifications.
