About a half hour after we finished Luke's packing, it was already time for our last dinner with the family before tour.
Luke's parents had went all out with the meal, even making a cake.
Jack, Ben, and their girlfriends had even come over, so it was like the Hemmings family, the seemingly soon-to-be members of the Hemmings family, and me.As we all sat around the table, talking and laughing and sharing memories.
I even had some to chip in, mostly about Luke and myself, but I had a few about the rest of the family;
"Luke used to sleepwalk," Ben told me.
"Oh there was this one time, in the middle of the night, when I heard Luke up, walking around for like 20 minutes, and I was thinking: what the hell is he doing; why is he up this late?" I said. "So then I started wondering if he was a sleepwalker. So I got up, and I tiptoed out the door, and I walk out to Luke pacing the hall bobbing his head to music on his headphones!"
"I remember that!" Luke laughed. "You were so startled, you almost fell over."
"Well I wasn't expecting you to be awake! It was like 3am!" I defended.
"You were up," Luke pointed out with a smirk.
"Yeah but I don't really sleep," I reminded him with a grin. The meal went by too quickly, and before I knew it we were having cake.
"To Luke and Paris, off on an adventure," Liz said.
"I think you guys should wish Luke off," I said bashfully. "He's your son. I'm only tagging along for the ride."
"Nonsense!" Andrew insisted. "You're just as much a part of this family as he is!"
"You've been replaced as the baby of the family apparently," I blushed, looking at Luke sideways.
"That's fine, I'd rather be the middle child anyway," Luke said with a smile.
Jack highfived him, and we all laughed as Liz cut the cake.
It was delicious, and Luke and I probably ate the heartiest out of all of them.
I ate probably two slices plus lots of ice cream, and Luke polished off 3 slices and 5 bowls of ice cream.
"You didn't win that Pizza Hut ice cream eating competition for nothing, did you?' I chuckled as Luke was finishing his 4th bowl.
"You know about that?" Luke raised his eyebrows.
"I'm a fangirl, Lucas," I said.
"My name isn't Lucas," he said, continuing the joke like always.
"I know that Lucas," I finished easily, causing us both to laugh.
"You guys are weirdos," Ben laughed.
"I think they're cute," Ben's girlfriend said. "How long have you been together?"
Ben's girlfriend didn't really know the whole sit. between us apparently.
"We're not-" I started.
"She's not-" Luke sputtered.
"I'm not-" I stammered.
"Oh I'm sorry," Ben's girlfriend blushed. "I just assumed..."
"It's alright," Luke said.
"It's happened before," I agreed.
She smiled, seeming relieved, and went back to her minuscule piece of cake. After everything was cleared off the table, Liz shooed Luke and I upstairs to wait until everything was clean, saying we should enjoy relaxing at home while we could.
We, of course, obliged, and hid out in Luke's bedroom.
I sprawled on Luke's bed beside him, using his arm as a pillow.
"I feel fat," I complained with a chuckle, tracing patterns on my stomach under my shirt.
"You're not fat, but besides, real girls eat cake," Luke smirked.
"Don't get me started on that song, I will sing it until your ears bleed," I warned.
"They won't bleed if I sing along, will they?" Luke said.
"We'll test it out in the middle of the night on the tour bus when everyone else is sleeping," I decided with a devilish giggle.
Luke laughed loudly. "Good idea."
"I always have good ideas," I joked.
"Yes indeed," Luke played along with a joking grin.
"Like the time I had the idea to pay for meet and greet tickets," I said.
"That was a good idea," Luke agreed.
"Otherwise I wouldn't have met you," I said.
"And I wouldn't have met you," Luke said. "And wouldn't that be the definition of missing out," he said seriously.
I smiled at his kind words. "You really think so?"
"Yeah, I do," he smiled back.A/N: double updates, woo woo!!!!!
