After spending an exhausting day with older brother Thomas, it was finally night time. You sneaked out of your hammock since Thomas slept next to you. You crept away, not noticing Thomas watch you. You passed Newt's-he wasn't there. You smiled and walked calmly to the deadheads, a very creepy place to meet especially at night, but it was easy to find.

"Rachel." He said with a beautiful smile crossing his face. You smiled and ran into his arms.

"Newt!" You muttered. He hugged you tightly while running his hand through your hair.

He looked into your blue eyes and cupped your cheeks before kissing you. You kissed back wrapping your arms around his waist.

"What the hell!?" You jumped out of Newt's embrace.

"Tommy, I can explain." Newt said quickly.

"Get away from my sister, Shank!" He yelled extremely loud. You've never seen Thomas so mad. He walked towards the both of you. You were scared. You stepped in front of Newt.

"What are you doing!? Move, Rachel." He demanded. You shook your head.

"No." You've never really disobeyed your brother.

"Move! Move now or-"

"Thomas calm down!" Another voice screamed. You looked in their direction, it was Minho. Teresa was right behind him.

"Tom, please calm down." She said.

He shook his head.

"I will not let my sister date my ex best friend." He glared at Newt before storming off.

Both of you were breathing heavily. He sighed frustratedly.

"It's okay, he needs to understand that I love you, and no one can stop that." You looked up at him, he calmed down a bit. He pulled you in close and kissed your forehead.

** days later**

Thomas came back from a long day of running. He sat down, and began to think of a way to end your relationship with Newt. He hated the fact that his best friend had betrayed him like that or at least he felt betrayed.

He doesn't understand why Minho and Teresa would try to convince him to let them be! He doesn't understand why they would even accept it. They don't get it, if it was their sibling they'd do the same. He stood up and walked out of the Map Room while he drank from his water bottle.

He saw you, Newt, Teresa, Minho and Gally in one circle. You all were laughing and running around. Your long, wavy, blonde, hair moving in all directions.

You quickly looked in his direction, your face changed immediately.

He noticed the way you became serious right away. They way you stopped smiling and your features seemed tired.

You sat down on a log. Thomas was looking at you. Newt looked back and saw him too. He sighed and walk over to you.

"Rachel, he'll accept it sooner or later."

You rested your chin on the palm of your hand, "you don't understand, he's so stubborn!" The rest had stopped too and we're listening.

"He won't understand, he doesn't get that I love you. He can love someone why can't I!?" You blurted. You looked at Teresa who was a dark shade of pink. You sighed and looked at the ground, "I shouldn't have said that. He trusted me with that, I shouldn't have. Dammit!" You screamed and stood up.

"It's okay, little sister." From behind the crowd around you, Thomas's voice was heard. Everyone looked towards him.

"Look, I was too hard on you, I'm sorry. As much as I wish that I hadn't been convinced, I am. You and Newt? I'm okay with it. I miss you, Rachel. Please come back to me." He extended his arms. You felt tears filling up your eyes. You ran and hugged your brother. 

"I love you so much, Rachel. I will always be over protective of you, I'm sorry about that. It's just in a brother's nature to protect his little sister." He rubbed your back.

"It's okay, I love you too." You whispered while hugging him tightly.
