Just so y'all know : You were a boy/girl who Gally was close with. You were a good runner, so Gally convinced you to become a runner, but the day you left you never returned. Angry Gally, (the one we read of in the books & see in the movies) appears after that incident.
It was like his whole life had been torn away from him because of one mistake. Gally was no longer a cheerful person, he almost never was, but before he did have a little happiness in him. However, now he didn't even smile for a second.
After convincing you to become a runner and never seeing you come back again, he had felt so awful that he no longer tried to be happy in any way.
Newt tried hard to bring back the happy Gally, the Gally who could make someone smile in an instant, but he was no longer there. That Gally was replaced by an angrier one. A boy who didn't like to be messed with.
He kept to himself, and didn't trust anyone. Everyday, at night, he'd have nightmares of you screaming at him telling him you hate him for sending you on a suicide mission. That made him feel even worse.
He couldn't find a way to let out his anger until one day he had gotten so angry at Newt for trying to help him that he hurt him. Of course, Newt didn't say anything for Gally would've been banished, but he learned that he should stay away from Gally because he was dangerous.
Gally's anger only grew after days without you. Almost every Glader was afraid of him, but he didn't care. He liked it that way because he knew that if they'd see him at night so broken and so vulnerable they would laugh. He had been the reason that the person he was falling in love with had disappeared. He just didn't know that that person was watching him through a screen, seeing his every move, hoping she/he could help, but knowing WCKD would kill him if she/he did.
Promo (sorry!): A Broken Boy is actually the name of my new story! It's inspired by the Harry Potter series. x Most of it would be in Draco's p.o.v.
