Walking through the woods made you feel better. It helped you forget about the maze sometimes. All the commotion about not finding a way out really bothered you. Sometimes you felt like they just would lose hope one day.

You walked, listening to the crunching leaves under your feet. You watched as some fell from the trees, slowly reaching the ground. You sat down at higher ground and looked at the trees below. Each a different size, would the trees be like that out in the real world? Why even bother to care? I'll be stuck here forever either way.

You're thinking about how you fear others losing hope, while you're the one giving up. You're conscious told you. You sighed and picked up a pebble. You hear the crunching of leaves behind you, you stood up and took out a knife without even thinking twice.

"I knew I'd find you-" his eyes went wide while you stood there pointing your knife at him.
"Woah, it's just me." Quickly, you put it away. Giving your best friend, and crush, a weak smile.

"Sorry.." You muttered. You sat back down stretching out your legs. Gally plotted himself next to you, without hesitating you rested your head on his shoulders. You could feel him looking down at you with a smirk plastered on his face. You looked up at him and smiled.

"It's peaceful out here." He said looking around.
"Why do you think I come here?" You laughed. He nodded,
"So..I'm just going to come out and ask what's been playing on my mind.." When he said that you shifted to face him, your heart started pounding. You always felt this way around him, but when he wanted to ask you something or tell you something it was worse. You felt as if he could hear your heartbeat.

"Do you um..do you like Newt?" You furrowed your eyebrows, you were confused. That's what he though? When you didn't answer he frowned, but tried to recover quickly by putting a straight face. You caught his frown though..
"You do right?" He said coughing after.

"No, I don't like him." You whispered making eye contact. He looked at you, then quickly at your lips, then back at you.
"then? Who do you like?"
You closed your eyes briefly, this is it no more hiding my emotions..

" I like.." You sucked in a breath,
"I like you." You said quickly. His lips curled into a smile.

"Oh good, I was afraid you'd say yes to liking Newt." You returned the smile,
"Does that mean-"

"That I'm super duper in love with you? Yes it does."

The word love stuck out most. He loves you? As if he was reading your mind he stated, "yes, (y/n) I love you. I have since the day i first laid eyes on you."

You smiled widely,
"I love you too Gally."
He smirked, he stood up and hell out his hands for you. You thought you were leaving now, but he pinned you against a tree behind your.
"Now.." He bit his lip,
"I can do this." And he smashed his lips against yours.
