I ran as fast as I could to catch up to the other griever pulling Thomas. I was able to grab on to Thomas and pull as hard as I could.
Thomas held on to my hand tightly, hope seemed to burst within him once more. He thought I would actually leave him? No, I wouldn't be able to bare the thought of someone being dead because of me.
The griever put up a good fight, it scratched my face many times. I could feel the warm blood was oozing down my cheeks and onto my neck, but I didn't care. What mattered was getting Thomas to safety.
Finally, after the griever stabbed Thomas's leg, I was able to free him. I knew it would behaved to run because of Thomas's injured leg, but that didn't stop me. I put his arm over my neck and held on to his waist while Newt did the same thing.
Together, we ran as quickly as possible to the Glade. Luckily, we weren't too far from getting to the entrance and exit, so we got there in about twenty minutes.
As soon as we all collapsed onto the green grass of our base, the medjacks surrounded us. Thomas's was worst from all of us, but Jeff and Clint told us he hold survive. While I was being patched up, Thomas asked to see me.
I went to the shed and entered carefully.
"How are you feeling?" I asked sitting at the foot of the bed.
"Good..y/n, thank you for saving me and not leaving me behind." He looked directly at me, I smiled.
I held his hand, "I wouldn't leave you, okay? While I'm around I've got your back."
He smiled, "And I've got yours."
You smiled and left him to rest. You looked for Newt and when you found him you were tackled into a hug.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" He kissed your cheek.
"I love you, y/n! Thank you so much for saving me today. I don't know where I'd be without you." Newt hugged you tightly and didn't let go for a while.
"Thank you so much." He muttered after he finally let go.
"No problem." You smiled and walked with him go supper.
