Love You Goodbye | Thomas

"Thomas, being out here..in the real world, it changes you." The scorch was probably the most horrible place ever, worse than the Maze.

It would be stupid of you to search the world on your own. However, they told you that if you didn't leave Thomas they would kill him.

"So, it changed your feelings towards me!? I can't believe that! It's Aris isn't it? You like him now!?" There was a tone of disgust in his voice as he said Aris's name. Thomas was angry and very devastated.

The thing about emotions is that when you face a person who is both heartbroken and infuriated it could end badly.

"No! It's not because of him, Thomas. I..its just not the same anymore, okay?"

Don't cry, don't cry.

"I thought you loved me! You told me that we would go through this klunk together!" His arms flew in every direction pointing at the unappealing world.

"And we did, Thomas." Your voice was barely audible.

"We went through all of this together, but it is time for us to part ways."

Please don't cry, y/n. Don't cry.

"But..." His voice dropped to a whisper, "I thought you loved me..y/n, I love you."

I love you too, Thomas! You wanted to scream it out loud for the whole stupid world to hear, but you couldn't. It wasn't yours but his life at sake.

"Thomas, you can't love me anymore. You and I" you signaled between you two, "it's not going to work. I just don't feel anything for you anymore."

Tears were streaming down his soft cheeks. Thomas didn't even bother to hide them. He loved you more than anyone he's ever loved before. He stood up straight and sucked everything up. He bottled up all his current emotions for what he was about to do.

"Okay, but what you're asking me to do is impossible, y/n." He moved fast, he was standing in front of you. You expected him to kiss you lips, longed for him to do so. However, he kissed your forehead softly.

At his touch you closed your eyes. You could feel your own cheeks being stained with tears. Yours or Thomas's you weren't sure.

"I will always love you." He whispered before turning his back on you and walking away for good.
