"She told me she would be there for me and when I needed her most she wasn't. She broke my heart and even when I wanted to fix us she didn't allow it. I'm scared to love again, but I'll do it because I love you, y/n. I love you so much and I would never hurt you and I know you'll never break my heart like Teresa did."
Present Time
He was pacing back and forth and seemed to be extremely worried and angry with himself.
"Thomas, just tell me. What happened?" Your heart was beating quickly. He seemed very worried and it stressed you out. Did he see something out in the Maze?
"I love you, y/n. You know that right?" He had tears in his eyes when he looked at you. Now you were frightened.
"Of course..Thomas what is it?"
"She was right there.." He muttered. "I don't know what I was thinking. She just said the right things. I didn't mean to, y/n. I'm so sorry."
"T-Thomas what did you do!?" You asked though you already knew. You had a gut feeling that what he was going to say next was..
"I slept with her." He looked at the ground sheepishly. Your heart broke into a million pieces. The tears began streaming down your face, and you didn't know what to do or what to say.
"Baby, I'm so sorry." He whispered reaching out to you. You slapped his hands away.
You took deep breathes. "Do you remember what you said when we first got together? Do you remember what you told me!?"
"Y-yes.." He muttered.
"You were scared that I would do something to hurt you. You were afraid that I would betray you and leave you to suffer in pain!! I can't believe that the day you told me that not one thought crossed my head that maybe you would hurt me. I'm such a slinthead, I should've known that you weren't over her. I should've known. I hate you so much, Thomas." It took all of your strength to walk away from him when he was crying and begging for forgiveness.
You walked away with your head hanging low. Your heart was just shattered, crushed, stepped on, yet you still loved Thomas. You still wanted to forgive him, but you couldn't and you wouldn't.
This one sucks.. I'm so sorry. :(
