"If you climb any higher you'll fall!" Thomas screamed from below. You were currently going up the steps of the lookout tower. It wasn't in its best condition. It was more tilted than straight. It was very dangerous climbing up, but it was always fun doing something risky.
"I might, but not as hard as i've fallen for you!" You yelled back. You could hear Thomas's laughter from below. A small smile spread across your face. He was the cringiest person you've ever come across.
You finally made it to the top. The view from above always took your breath away; no matter how many times you've been up there it always felt like the first.
Thomas joined soon after. He was sweating and panting.
"I'm getting rusty," he muttered.
"You're a runner," you scoffed.
"Yes, but I run a lot in a little bit of time trying to chase after you. You're crazy!" He laughed. You joined quickly.
Thomas scooted closer to you to close any space. You leaned your head against his firm shoulder. It was always nice being our Thomas.
"I really like you, Thomas," you told him while still looking at the horizon.
"I love you."
His words surprised you. Both of you knew the feelings you had for each other, but never have any of you said those three words. They were so overused and, but hearing Thomas say the words to you made you explode.
You turned to face him. His cheeks were a dark shade of red, but it wasn't from running nor climbing.
"I-I'm sorry.. that's too soon isn't it? Have I ruined everything? I'm sorry please forg—"
"I love you too, Thomas." You replied. You said the words not because he had, but because you felt in your heart. You loved him. You loved the boy who had the crazy ideas. You loved the boy who embarrassed himself when he first arrived. You love the boy who makes you laugh like no other.
"I love you, Thomas."
"Did you fall on your head?"
"Oh, shut up."

The Maze Runner Imagines
FanfictionI've always loved writing, but I've always been horrible at making an entire story. Short imagines are definitely a great way of sharing my writing, and so that's why I do them! I absolutely love The Maze Runner trilogy. I hope you enjoy my imagine...
