It was no use, the griever had cornered you and Thomas. You were afraid, you almost never were but you knew this was it for you. Thomas had a hand backing you away, protectively.
The griever made a loud screeching sound and somehow grabbed Thomas and yanked him away. It was going for you.
Your eyes widened. It wanted you. You could hear Thomas's muffled screams but all you could really focus on was the griever in front of you.
It lifted it's metal hand ready to lash,
"NO! No! Wait! You shuck creators I know you're behind this. Wait!!" Thomas once again screamed and ran to you while the griever wasn't guarding him.
You weren't sure what he was doing.
"Wait." He lifted both his arms. The griever, as if understanding, stopped.
"Take me. Take me instead of her. My life for hers." He tried bargain.
"Thomas! What are you doing? Stop it!" You immediately started walking towards the Griever, but Thomas yanked you back. He faced his back toward the Griever and held you tightly.
"I love you so much. You mean the world to me, y/n." His arms were gently holding your neck. You shook your head and cried knowing he was saying goodbye. He kissed your lips.
"Take care of yourself." He whispered.
"You're stupid you know that? If that piece of metal takes you, I will go after it for you."
He shook his head, "promise me you won't."
You shook your head, "I won't promise you that."
Before Thomas could respond the griever yanked at him.
"NO!" You cried.
Thomas looked at you until he was no longer strong enough to keep his eyes open.
"I promise. I promise Thomas." You said not wanting his last words to be for nothing.

The Maze Runner Imagines
FanfictionI've always loved writing, but I've always been horrible at making an entire story. Short imagines are definitely a great way of sharing my writing, and so that's why I do them! I absolutely love The Maze Runner trilogy. I hope you enjoy my imagine...
