Making Room for New Memories

They pulled up to the storefront just as the staff were finishing their morning prep at 8:15 AM.

As soon as they stepped inside the cool, brightly lit interior of Primehub, they bought the local SIM cards they needed.

After Aen finished putting the card into Yoongi's phone, she handed it back to him and pulled out her own to check her messages.

Yoongi's eyes narrowed as he caught a glimpse of her screen.

It was spiderwebbed with cracks, the glass splintering across the display in a way that looked difficult to even read.

He remembered the exact moment that damage had occurred.

It was months ago, the night the "Breaking News" had flashed across the television screen.

He could still see her standing there, trembling as Dispatch revealed those photos of them at Hannam Bridge and Yoojung Sikdang.

The device had slipped from her hands, hitting the floor with a sickening crash just as the world started hunting for her identity.

Between the shock of the news and the literal "death by notification" that followed their official Twitter announcement not long after, the phone hadn't stood a chance.

He had insisted on buying her a new one the very next day, but Aen had stubbornly refused.

She had claimed it was still "fixable" and that she didn't want him spending more money on her.

But seeing her squint at the shattered glass now-the last remaining scar from that stressful night-he knew he finally had the perfect opportunity to replace it.

Especially now that she was home, he wanted everything around her to be new, safe, and unbroken.

Without saying a word, Yoongi turned to the saleslady behind the counter.

"Excuse me," he said, his English calm but firm.

"Do you have the Samsung S20 Ultra? The Cosmic Black one?"

The saleslady blinked, her eyes widening as she looked from the masked, stylish man to the premium flagship phone in the display case.

"Yes, sir. We have it in stock."

Aen watched him, her brow furrowing in confusion.

She figured he was just curious about the local stock or perhaps looking for an upgrade for himself, despite already having the same series.

But then, Yoongi didn't even glance at the price tag on the digital display.

"I'll take it," Yoongi replied, already reaching for his wallet.

"And please... put a tempered glass protector on it immediately. I don't want a single scratch on this one."

Without a word, he reached into his wallet and produced a sleek, matte black card-heavy and minimalist, with no numbers visible on the front.

The saleslady blinked, her hands shaking slightly as she took the premium card.

She had seen plenty of credit cards, but never one that looked-or felt-like this.

It was the kind of card that didn't have a limit, the kind that belonged to the top 0.05% of the world.

With a soft beep and a quick authorization, the transaction was complete.

The saleslady returned it with a polite bow, and he was already tucking the card back into his wallet with a practiced, effortless motion.

He didn't even look at the receipt.
