As Yoongi tightened his hold, pulling her even more flush against his chest from where she was draped over him, the movement caused the water to surge between them, and Aen gasped into the crook of his neck.
Amidst the swirling heat, she felt the unmistakable, rigid pressure of him poking against her thigh.
It was a sharp, grounding reminder of the physical depth of his longing-a silent testament that his heart wasn't the only thing that had been aching for her all week.
Her fingers dug into the damp muscles of his shoulders, her nails grazing his skin as she shifted, instinctively trying to close the space.
The friction of his hardness through the water sent a jolt of electricity straight to her core, turning her blood into the same scalding temperature as the spring.
Yoongi let out a low, guttural groan that vibrated through her entire body.
He didn't pull away; instead, he hooked his arms under her thighs, drawing her even more firmly against his center.
The steam rose around them in thick, white plumes, blurring the silhouettes of the maple trees until the world consisted of nothing but the scent of cedar, the splashing water, and the frantic heat of their bodies.
"You're shaking," he rasped, pulling back just enough to look into her eyes.
The vulnerability from earlier was still there, but it was eclipsed now by a dark, possessive intensity.
"It's not from the cold," she managed to breathe out, her heart hammering wildly against her ribs.
He let out a short, breathy laugh-a sound of pure, unadulterated want.
He ground his hips upward in a slow, deliberate movement, letting her feel the full weight of his desire.
"Good. Because I don't think I can be the 'steady' one for another second."
The steam continued to rise in thick, white plumes, clinging to their damp skin as the night air grew sharper.
Inside the circle of his arms, the world felt incredibly small and dangerously hot.
Yoongi's hands, slick with the mineral-rich water, slid lower to cup her, his fingers pressing into the soft skin of her bottom to lift her higher.
The shift brought her center directly against the rigid length of him, the friction of their skin through the churning water making Aen's breath hitch in a jagged, broken sob of pleasure.
"Yoon... please," she breathed against his ear, her teeth grazing his lobe as she sought some kind of anchor in the overwhelming sensation.
He responded by grinding his hips upward, a slow, possessive roll that forced another moan from her lips.
He felt like molten lead beneath her-solid, heavy, and burning.
The sheer directness of him, the way he was unashamedly showing her how much he'd hungered for her, made Aen feel powerful and vulnerable all at once.
"I've spent every night this week in a bed that was too big and too quiet," he muttered, his lips finding the pulse point at the side of her neck.
He bit down gently, a sharp nip that sent a fresh wave of heat through her.
"Thinking about this. Thinking about how you feel when you're finally mine again."
He shifted his grip, his palms sliding along the wet stones of the bench beneath the water for leverage.
With one smooth, powerful motion, he guided her, the water sloshing over the edge of the bath and onto the dark wood of the balcony as he finally merged their bodies together.
Aen's eyes fluttered shut, her head falling back as she took the full weight of him.
A sharp, broken gasp escaped her, followed by a low, shaky whisper.
"Ahhh... so big..."
Yoongi's hands tightened on her hips, his knuckles turning white as he held her in place, letting her body adjust to the sudden, overwhelming fullness.
He let out a low, satisfied growl that was half-pleasure and half-agony, burying his face in the crook of her shoulder.
He stayed still for a heartbeat, his forehead resting against her damp skin, his breath hitching as he fought for a shred of control.
"You're so tight, Aen-ah," he rasped, the words vibrating against her collarbone.
"I've missed how you feel... how perfectly you fit."
He began to move then-a slow, driving rhythm that sent ripples across the surface of the steaming water.
Each upward thrust was deliberate and deep, a raw celebration of the fact that they were finally, truly back together.
Aen clung to him, her legs locked around his waist and her fingers digging into his wet shoulders as the world narrowed down to the friction of their skin and the rhythmic splash of the onsen.
The silence of Kyoto was gone, replaced by the sound of her own heartbeat thundering in her ears and the low, satisfied growl Yoongi let out.
There was no more "rescuing" or "healing"-there was only the rhythmic, driving heat of the present
As his pace quickened, the mist seemed to thicken around them, blurring the line between the heat of the spring and the fire in their veins.
"Y-yoon.. Ahhh.. Yoonie.. so good.."
Aen's voice was broken, a series of soft, desperate hitches that made Yoongi's grip on her tighten until she felt every ounce of his strength surging into her.
"FUCK.. Jagi.." he growled, the words ripped from his throat as he lost his final shred of restraint.
Yoongi's movements became more urgent, his hands sliding from her hips to tangle in her wet hair, tilting her head back to find her mouth in a kiss that tasted of plum sake and salt.
He was driving them both toward the edge now, the water splashing violently over the stone rim as the rhythm became frantic and undeniable.
"Look at me," he commanded softly, pulling back just enough to see her face in the moonlight.
Aen forced her heavy lids open, her eyes clouded with a haze of pure, raw sensation.
In the flickering glow of the stone lanterns, she saw the sheer intensity in his gaze-a look that said he wasn't just taking her body, but reclaiming every part of her that had been lonely this week.
"You're mine, Aen-ah," he whispered against her lips, his voice a low, gravelly vibration just before he surged into her one last time, pulling her into the heat of his own release.
"Always mine."
The command and the confession hit her all at once.
Aen cried out his name as the world finally fractured.
Their bodies trembled in perfect, agonizing unison, anchored to one another as they went over the edge in a single, staggering wave of heat.
For a long minute, the only sound was the heavy, synchronized thud of their hearts and the distant, fading rustle of the bamboo.
The sanctuary Aen had felt earlier was now a complete, overwhelming reality.
They were no longer two people navigating a difficult week; they were a single, tangled force, anchored together in the midnight mist of Kyoto.
