The Promise
Once his work for the day finally wrapped up, Yoongi drove straight to Aen's apartment.
Since Aen usually went home an hour earlier than him, he knew she would be ready and waiting.
Knowing how much Angel had supported Aen through everything, Yoongi had specifically told Aen to invite her along; he wanted her to be part of the belated birthday celebration too.
He had also sent a quick text to Aen beforehand, reminding her to bring along her BTS albums.
He knew that having the full group sign them would be the one thing that would make her the happiest girl in the world.
He picked up both Aen and Angel-who was practically vibrating with excitement-and headed toward the private restaurant.
The private dining room Yoongi had booked was already filled with the boisterous laughter of the members, who had gathered specifically to make Aen feel like the guest of honor.
"Noona, did you really bring all of these?" Jungkook asked, his eyes widening as Aen shyly pulled a stack of albums from her bag.
"Yoongi told me I should..." Aen whispered, her face flushing a deep pink.
"Oh yeah, we talked about it earlier before heading here and decided this should be our official group gift for you," Namjoon said, smiling warmly as he took the first marker.
"We know how much these mean to you, and we wanted to make them extra special."
One by one, the boys took turns writing heartfelt, personal messages across the photobooks.
It wasn't just a standard fan signature; they were messages of welcome.
Taehyung even drew a little heart next to a caricature of Yoongi, making Aen giggle as she tucked the precious memorabilia back into her bag.
Aside from the signed albums, the boys also presented her with individual gifts-designer perfumes and thoughtful accessories-but Aen knew the signatures were her favorite.
"Hyung, you really went all out," Taehyung teased, gesturing to the lavish spread of food.
"She deserves it," Yoongi replied simply, his eyes never leaving Aen.
It didn't take long for the members to start teasing them as they finally saw the couple's hands in person.
The members, who had already seen Yoongi's during the morning's chaotic video call, didn't waste any time.
They had been waiting all evening for a moment of silence just to bring it up.
As Aen reached for her water glass, the light caught the rows of tiny, shimmering stones on her band, making it sparkle brilliantly under the restaurant's warm lights.
The table instantly erupted with knowing grins.
"So, it's official then?" Jimin asked, leaning in with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Our Yoongi-hyung finally made his promise?"
"I told you guys this morning," Yoongi muttered, though he didn't pull his hand away from where it rested near Aen's on the table.
He looked at her, his expression softening as he non-verbally checked if she was okay with the attention.
"Oh! You guys noticed?" Aen blushed, looking over at Yoongi.
