A Taste of the Past

After Yoongi dropped Aen off, she quickly packed her essentials, showered, and took a taxi straight back to his apartment.

After settling her things, she rummaged through his refrigerator to finding something for lunch.

During his break, Yoongi called to check ask if she had made it back safely and if she had eaten.

He told her not to cook anything for dinner because he was taking her out.

Later that night, after Yoongi arrived home to change, they headed out together.

To Aen's surprise, Yoongi brought her to a small, humble restaurant—the very one he and the boys had frequented during their rookie days.

Upon realizing where they were, Aen suddenly panicked.

"T-this place... is it okay for us... for you... to be seen here? With me?"

Yoongi gently stroked Aen's hair to calm her.

"It's okay. Don't worry. To be honest, I've always wanted to bring you here."

"Really? Why?"

"Because this place is special to me."

Aen blushed at his honesty.

"Before the world knew my name, this place knew my hunger. I wanted you to see where I started."

Aen looked around.

"I see... you and the guys ate here all the time back then. Since you're the expert on the food... I'll be in your care, then."

Yoongi chuckled.

"Okay."

They went inside, and luckily, there weren't many customers yet.

When the owner saw them, she instantly recognized him.

"Omo! Is that really you, Yoongi-sshi?"

"Yes, Ahjumma..."

"Aigoo... it's been a long time since you last visited. Come, sit here..."

"Ah, yes. Thank you."

"Are you alone? Where are the others? Oh? Who is this?"

Her eyes sparked when she saw Aen.

Yoongi introduced her with a proud smile.

"The others didn't come today. Instead, I'm with this beautiful lady. She's my soulmate, Ajumma."

"H-hello." Aen bowed deeply to show respect.

Hearing him claim her so openly in a place that held his most precious memories made the '0' on her wrist feel like a badge of honor rather than a target for the media.

"Oh, hello, my dear!"

The old woman bowed slightly in return.

"Indeed, she is truly beautiful. A perfect match. I am truly happy for you. This calls for a celebration! Soju is on the house!"

"Wooahhhh!!!" the other customers yelled after hearing the news.

"Eehhh?" Aen was stunned, while Yoongi tried to protest.

"A-Ajumma... that's too-"

"And you can't pay for it, young man. Are we clear?"

"Yes, ma'am..."
