Through His Eyes

When the doctor came, Yoongi told him what had happened.

It was making him feel really anxious since she had fainted again right in front of him.

The doctor examined her and then he told them that she may be suffering from a concussion which was expected since she had hit her head.

It made them even more worried but then the doctor assured them-especially Yoongi-and told him that they'll do a series of exams again once she wakes up.

Before he left, he looked at Yoongi with a soft gaze and patted his shoulder in an attempt to ease his mind.

He told him to stay by her side and that it was best if he held her wrist while she was sleeping; that way, she would feel more at ease and wake up soon.

And so, Yoongi did what he was told.

He carefully held her wrist, hoping that she would wake up as soon as possible.

As he looked down, he felt a pang of guilt.

He hadn't noticed earlier but her skin really looked raw and irritated, like someone had scraped it with something sharp.

The sight made his chest tighten; the "System" was punishing her for a choice she made, and he was the unwilling witness to her pain.

He realized then that by staying away to 'respect' her wishes, he had inadvertently allowed this fire to burn her skin.

'Is this what happens when you reject your fated soulmate? How painful does it feel?'

Yoongi would never know, but he vowed to make sure she wouldn't have to feel it much longer.

Hours passed and Yoongi was woken up by someone's sniffling.

He didn't realize he had fallen asleep as well.

He looked up to see her muffling her cries.

Her arm covered her face as if she was scared somebody would hear her.

Her other hand barely clutched at his wrist, probably trying to not wake him up.

Looking at her like that has made his heart ache.

At that moment, he realized, he did not want to see her like this ever again.

"Why are you crying?"

Her breath hitched.

She clearly hadn't expected him to wake up.

"Are you hurting somewhere?"

He carefully asked her and then reached out, gently prying her arm away from her face.

He was glad she let him without any protest.

But when he saw her pained expression, he couldn't help but gently touched her face.

It was instinctive-he just wanted to wipe away the evidence of her sadness.

She looked taken aback.

'Was I being too much? Should I let go.'
