The True Unique

The afternoon sun of Hong Kong was a brilliant, searing gold by the time they stepped out onto Canton Road.

Yoongi had shed the "Suga" armor of the mask and cap for the appointment, opting instead for a pair of dark designer sunglasses and a crisp, short-sleeved black button-down shirt.

The tailored fit accentuated his broad shoulders, making him look every bit the sophisticated, high-end "consultant" he had claimed to be.

Beside him, Aen wore a slip dress of heavy, midnight-blue silk that skimmed her curves and caught the golden light with every step.

Over her shoulders, she had draped a lightweight, cream-colored blazer to ward off the aggressive air conditioning of the luxury boutiques, but the silk beneath was what mattered—it felt like a second skin, fluid and effortless.

As they walked toward the sleek, white-and-gold facade of the Darry Ring flagship, Aen felt a nervous flutter in her chest.

This wasn't just a jewelry store. In the world of high-end romance, DR was famous for one rule: A man can only purchase one in his lifetime.

"Are you absolutely sure about this, Yoon?" Aen whispered, her voice laced with sudden gravity as they approached the heavy glass doors.

"Once you hand them your Resident Registration ID card to their database, that's it, Yoon. No matter what happens in the next fifty years, you can never buy another ring for someone else here."

Yoongi stopped.

He didn't just turn to look at her; he stared at her incredulously, his eyebrows drawing together as if she had just suggested the Earth might suddenly halt it's axis and start spinning backwards.

"Aen-ah," he said, his voice flat but layered with a deep, unshakable certainty.

"Why would I buy someone else a ring when I'm intending to keep you forever?"

He didn't wait for her to overthink it.

He reached out, his hand finding the small of her back as he guided her toward the entrance.

The coolness of the air-conditioned interior rushed out to meet them, smelling of expensive lilies and white tea.

"I only have one lifetime, Aen-ah," he murmured, his voice steady.

"And I only have one soulmate and that's you. The math is simple."

The interior of the flagship was hushed and ethereal.

A personal concierge, who had clearly been briefed on the high-profile nature of the guest, bowed deeply.

"Min Yoongi-sshi, Aen-sshi. Welcome. We have prepared the VIP viewing room for you."

They were led to a private lounge at the back, where the walls were lined with "True Love Agreements" signed by couples from around the world.

On a velvet-lined table sat a bottle of sparkling water and three velvet trays, each covered by a silk cloth.

"As per your request, Yoongi-sshi," the concierge said softly, "we have curated the matching sets you inquired about. These are the symbols of a lifelong union."

Yoongi looked at Aen, gesturing for her to sit in the plush armchair.

"I took care of the technical side-the durability and the purity of the metal is all vetted. But the technicalities don't matter as much as this: if we're wearing these every day for the rest of our lives, they have to feel like they belong on us."
