Black and White ✘ Black Butler

Chapter 1

The morning sun begins to rise as I slowly wake up from my slumber just as my butler, Sebastian, opens the door and enters my room carrying a silver tray filled with my breakfast.

"Good morning Miss C.L. hope you slept well," he says as he sets down the silver tray containing my breakfast on my lap. "For your breakfast this morning is chocolate chip waffles with maple syrup on the side, a fruit salad, and a glass of orange juice."

"Thank you Sebastian." I smile, despite the fact that my eyes are droopy from having just woken up.

"Would you like me to get your clothing for the day young mistress?"

"No it's fine Sebastian, you can go now," I say as I kindly shoo him out of the room.

"As you wish young mistress, I'll be back when you are finished with your breakfast," Sebastian says as he exits my room and shuts the door.

I grab the remote from the bedside table and turn on my TV and begin watching my favorite show 'Doctor Who' while I start eating my breakfast.

(I bet you're wondering who I am right. Well my name is Catherine Lee Phantomhive, but most people call me C.L. I am the head of the Phantomhive family and I run the Funtom Company, which happens to be the biggest company in the U.K.. My parents were Elizabeth and Ciel Phantomhive, but I don't know much about them since they died when I was only a baby. The only reason I know a few things about them is because of my Aunt Rose and my butler Sebastian. He's been my butler for as long as I can remember and he has taken care of me since I was born. Other servants in the mansion are Mary, the maid; Brad, the cook; Finnick the gardener; and Tom, the steward, though he doesn't do much.I have a group of friends, but you're learn about them later. Anyways, back to the story.)

After a while, I manage to finish my large breakfast. Then, I get up from my bed and walk towards my closet to change into some decent clothes. I change into a black fitting shirt, a blue dress trench coat, black skinny jeans, and black combat boots. I put on some eyeliner, mascara, and eye shadow to help enhance my blue eyes, which I inherited from my father, applied some lip gloss, and comb out my long black hair, which ended around my hips.

Just as I finish getting ready, Sebastian walks into my room to pick up the tray.

"Well Catherine, I see you are ready for school today. I have your school bag ready and we will leave in a few minutes," he states. He's the only person that usually calls me by my first name.

"Ugh why do I have to go to school Sebastian, it's so boring." I turn off my TV and walk out of my room with Sebastian by my side.

"You know you must go in order to run the family company and you also get to see your friends Catherine, it can't be that bad."

"I guess your right"

We both walk into the kitchen and I see my three servants Mary, Brad, and Finnick working, as always. Mary is busy washing the dishes, Brad is cooking breakfast for himself and the others, and Finnick is organizing some flowers in a vase.

"Hello master C.L." they say in unison.

"Hello everyone," I say with a smile on my face.

"Look master C.L. I made you this bouquet for your office room," Finnick says as he holds a grey vase filled with white roses, blue daisies, and cherry blossoms.

"Oh thank you Finnick, it's beautiful. Can you take it to my office?"

"Of course master C.L." Finnick runs into the hallway to take the flowers into my office.
