~C.L.'s POV~

"I don't have to take orders from a worthless lost child, but since you asked, C.L., the name is Ash Landers and it's a not-so-pleasure to meet you."

"It's nice to know who you are, Ash," I reply. I look around, trying to spot anything out of the ordinary. I didn't want to be surprised by any unsuspecting angels. The last thing I wanted to do was fight.

"Yes, but it won't matter anyways because you'll be dead."

"Wait, b-but I-"

Before I could utter out another word, Ash runs up to me, like the speed of light, then kicks me square in the stomach. The sudden attack sends me flying across the hallway until I crash down on the floor. The amount of force that he sent to me could've broken every bone in my body; I don't know how I could've survived that.

"P-Please; I don't want to fight," I manage to cough out. With my shaky arms, I push myself from the floor and into a sitting position. "I-I only want to talk, to reason, with you. W-We don't have t-to make this harder than it h-has to be."

He smiles. "I agree. Fortunately, I took the liberty of bringing along some extra help."

I gasp. With that, I was surrounded by at least ten angels, all of them wearing the same sickly white as Ash. Finally, I, slowly but surely, manage to push myself from the floor. I was finally able to be at the same level as the others around me. I look around me, but I couldn't dodge the amount of white that was surrounding me.

"I don't enjoy having the blood from a lost child stain my clothing."

I look back at Ash, who was protected by the guard of the other angels. "I'm not afraid of you. I can fight you off."

He bursts out laughing at my supposed threat. "But, C.L., you're outnumbered, you wouldn't stand a chance against all of us."

"You know I'm not alone."

"And, what good will that do if they die protecting you? You wouldn't be able to live with yourself."

I scoff, "Why are you even after me? I've never did anything wrong. Couldn't you just leave me alone?!" I take a small step forward, but before I could take another step, I felt something wrap around my throat. I try to take in some breathes but was unable to. I tried to utter some words but the lack of air forced me to stay silent.

After a couple of seconds of watching me suffer, Ash snaps his fingers. "That's enough, Celeste."

With that, the angel, that was named Celeste, releases her grasp from me. Once the strong force was pulled away from me, my legs give out on me and I fall onto the floor, again. I rush some of the air I lost back into my lungs, causing me to cough with each breath I took.

As I try to regain myself, I hear the sound of heels clicking on the floor. I manage to see a pair of feet coming at my direction before I was abruptly pulled, by my hair, off the floor. I yelp, in response, but comply with the forceful tug. Then, he begins dragging me away from out spot and starts leading me out of the building. His 'minions', as I would like to call them, follow closely behind.

"I thought it would be better not to leave any traces of you behind. I did try to the same with your parent," Ash says.

Just with that, I couldn't contain my composure anymore. I raise my gun, which I managed to get while I was down on the floor, and shoot Ash. He screams on impact and pushes me away. From there, I was able to see the damage I inflicted on him; I was able to shoot him in the arm and his blood was pouring down his perfect white sleeve. He places his hand on the wound and looks back at me, his glare shooting daggers at me. But, I had to keep my composure; I couldn't show fear at a time like this.
