I use the knife, which I also had hidden in my dress, to pierce through Ash's heart at the last second, just before he was going to use his sword to pierce through me. Once Ash realizes what just happen, he looks at the wound then back at me, dumbfounded. He never thought a 'worthless' lost child like me would ever make a move so quickly.
"H-How?" he asks.
"Don't you remember? I'm a lost child," I say.
With that, I pull the weapon from his heart. He drops his sword, which lands beside me, and collapses onto the floor. While on the floor, he tries to take in as many of his last breathes as he can while his blood pours all around his body.
"I was only doing this to help everyone, even a poor unfortunate soul like you," he manages to cough out.
I rise from the floor while I keep my eyes on him. I didn't need him to surprise me with another attack, but with the way he looks, he doesn't have the energy to even pick up his weapon. Then, I shake my head. "No, you only did this to help yourself."
"You have no idea what's in store for you. You may end up in a fate worse that this!"
"Bring it on then."
I continue looking, with no expression, at his pitiful self as he took in final breathes. He continues to express his hatred towards me through his fiery amethyst eyes. That is until I notice his chest rising once more before falling utterly still. He turns his head away from me and looks up at the sky before his cold expression turns to nothing but blank.
I simply stood there at a loss for words that I didn't even realize that everything had gone quiet. It wasn't just me, everything was quiet. There was no fighting going on; there was nothing. I shake my head, in order to bring myself back to reality, then look at my surroundings. I look behind me and find five distinct figures standing on the edge of the building. They had no words to say about the scene in front of them.
"Um... Did C.L. actually manage to kill an angel?" Grell whispers to, who I can only guess to be, William.
He takes a deep breathe then walks up to me, in order to get a better view of the crime himself. "This is a mystery, even for me. How could you manage to kill off an angel using a weapon like this?" He takes the dagger that I still had a firm grasp on.
"I-I-I don't know," I respond.
He closely examines the dagger then crouches down at Ash's body and then examines it. He takes out a small book from his jacket and looks through each page.
"Interesting..."
"What is?" The younger boy, who I can only presume is Ronald, asks.
"There is no death record for an Ash Landers. Even if he was an angel, there should've been a record of him when he first passed away. But... his record is... blank."
I look over his shoulder and scan through each name. There was no 'Ash Landers' in the page, just like Willian stated. "What is that?" I ask.
Without once bothering to look back at me, he replies, "This is a record book of every angel there is. Grim Reapers in higher power, like me, are allowed to have access to records like these. I only brought them to figure out who was involved with this attack."
"Th-Then what does this mean?"
He sighs then rises from the floor and closes the book. "From what I've heard, there's a myth that when an angel, demon, or anyone from the other side can be wiped from the face of the Earth. This sort of conspiracy never happened before... until now. But, I can't be one hundred percent sure if he may come back or not; this just tells me that his soul is nowhere to be seen."
