~Ciel's POV~

Seeing the body before me, my jaw clenches and my lips curve to a deep frown. My brows knit together, and I couldn't stop myself from growling. My insides heated to a burning inferno, my blood pumping through my veins, and all the thoughts in my head told me to do all the most vile things to the person who was responsible for this. Who knows if my eyes were igniting, but I was aware of my balled fists craving for a fight.

However, despite the deep rage boiling inside of me, there was an over pour of sorrow that was seeping out of me. I swallow the lump in my throat and blink away the stray tears that were beginning to sting my eyes.

I may be a creature of hell, but against what people may see in me now or how I previously was, there is still a heart, a soul, inside of me.

But now, I feel as if all of my humanity was being taken out of me.

I never thought I'd see this happen. None of this was ever suppose to happen. Everything that I've done was to prevent all of this from happening. Why have I failed now?

Although Catherine has already grown to a young lady, I still see the small, fragile baby that I once carried in my arms. Her glistening blue eyes, which she strongly took after me, used to be so full of life. Her smile always found a way at lighting up my already darkened soul.

Except... now her eyes look so empty, not even the brightest light could liven them up. A smile was stamped on her face, and although it showed happiness in them, there is also a permanent stamp of hollowness and death. Her body was stained with her own blood, ruining her perfectly pale skin.

She was a perfect picture of Elizabeth. My daughter was an angel sent from above. But she also had my qualities too. She had a fiery passion that would never die down. She would always do whatever it takes to get what she wants.

My child, the one person that I wouldn't even mind giving away my soul to, is the perfect example of what the world is; a mixture of black and white, good and evil.

Never in my lifetime would I expect to see my daughter dead before my eyes. I always told myself that it would never happen. She was protected; she was going to survive all of this, even when I might not. Seeing it now, I was filled with burden, but that quickly changes to revenges.

I wasn't going to let Catherine's attempt go in vain.

Somebody has to pay.

For whoever tampers with a demon's property, they'll suffer the wrath of hell.

I turn away from Catherine's body, although the aura of death on her won't ever escape my mind, and glance on the window of the building beside me. I look into my eyes just in time to see my pure blue eyes swirl into a sickly red hue. They may've been glowing abnormally, but the color resembles that of crimson blood and I was anticipating that I would see more of that, moreover in my hands once I slaughter my enemy.

Then, I lift my head up so I can see the origin of this crime. Catherine took quite the fall, but I know that she would never take the plunge knowingly and willingly. There was another at fault, but when I stare at the top of the building, there was no one standing along the edge, looking down at the crime at the bottom.

I breathe out. Looks like I'm going to have to rush up there and handle the problem myself.

Suddenly, I feel wind blow past me, ruffling my hair and causing the cool air to trickling in my body. The view of the rooftop was coming closer to me at an accelerating speed. Unlike what happened to Catherine, I was flying up the building. It may not be so much for a demon like me, but the fact that I have to finish a job that Sebastian was meant to do irritated me. I didn't think I'd have to put much effort to something again when I have a butler to do it for me.
