Since the curtains were not closed, the morning sun shined through the large window, striking me in the face. Unable to do anything to cover myself from the light, I open my eyes, waking myself from my slumber. I sit up and stretch out my arms, just like one would see in a movie. Unlike in the movie, I wasn't picture perfect. My hair was in a knotted mess but that is what I get for having my long luxurious hair. I place my hands on the bed but immediately felt the cushion dip from another weight on the bed. I raise my eyebrow then turn towards the source of the weight, but before I had the chance to scream, I push myself off the bed and land, on my butt, on the carpet floor. I push myself up again to find the exact same thing I woke up to. Sebastian was in my bed; correction, Sebastian was sleeping in my bed. Though his back was facing me, I could recognize that raven, black hair anywhere.

I push myself up from the floor and shuffle out of my room. There was no need to make the situation any weirder, at least to me, than it has to be. Though nothing happened, the idea of Sebastian in my bed just made my face turn beet red. I didn't need anyone else, especially my aunt, to know and make a big deal about this.

'I swear, I specifically told him to stay until I fell asleep. Now, I'm going to be acting like a total nut-job because of my rude awakening,' I thought. I look up at one of the clocks hanging in the wall; 9:35 a.m., everyone should be awake by now.

After traveling through the long hallways, I push open the door that leads to the kitchen. Once inside, I notice everyone scattered about doing their usual business. Then after the door slams shut, four pairs of eyes turn to my direction.

"Hello, Young Mistress," they all say in sync.

"Morning," I reply. I smile, but my droopy eyes scream that fact that I just woke up.

"I hope you had a good rest," Mary asks.

"Yes... I, uh, did."

"Let me examine your arm and Brad will cook you something for breakfast."

"M'kay." I yawn just as Mary takes my hand and leads me into the dining room, seating me in the closest seat on the table.

She unravels the bandage until the skin of my arm was in view. "Woah..."

"What is it, Mary? Did it get worse?"

"N-No, but your wound..."

"What about it?"

"It's completely healed."

"What?!" I take my arm and look at the area the suppose wound was suppose to be at only to find my skin just like it usually was, clean and untouched.

"How is that possible? It was a large gash; it should have taken two weeks to completely heal."

"W-Well... That's because... you're such a great doctor! You should've really gotten into the medical field."

"Really? Well, my grandfather was a surgeon."

Just I was about to respond, Brad walks into the room with a large of pancakes. I was going to retort, saying that I didn't need that much food, but the growls coming from my stomach betrayed me. I simply stay silent as he sets the plate of food in front of me. I grab a fork and cut into the stack of fluffy goodness. Just as I plop the piece of pancake into my mouth, the devil, or should I say demon, himself decides to walk into the room, dress like he's been awake for hours even though I know the truth. I drop my spoon, cover my mouth without even taking a bite of my meal, and look out the window, practically looking like I was contemplating on life which I might have been.
