An entire week has passed since the whole Drocell and me telling my friends my deep secret incident, and everything has been somewhat normal. Even though there is a heighten excitement for my 18th birthday, everyone has treated me the same as before. But, nothing is the same.
Because is their involvement with me, my friends and aunt had to take extra precautions to ensure their safety. My friends had to take some self-defense classes (though in my opinion, won't make much of a difference if we're dealing with people from the afterlife). After forming a close friendship, Grell took the liberty of becoming Aunt Rose's butler. As for my workers, well, there's not much work there since they're practically already trained assassins.
As for Sebastian and I, well... Like I said, it's been somewhat normal. Ever since the little fiasco, he's been acting as if nothing had happened. It's almost like that strange night didn't even happen to him. He's continued to be the same faithful butler like before. While I on the other, I was a complete mess. Every time we were together, you could practically smell the awkwardness around us, or at least I can. I didn't dare to even look at him every time he passed by. And, even when I had the courage to ask him about... That, he completely ignores the question.
I was soon cut out of my thoughts when I felt a nudge against my shoulder. I shake my head and turn my attention back to Bell as we continue walking through the school hallways.
"C.L., were you even listening to me?" she asks.
"Yea, sure I was," I reply.
She stands in front of me, her hands on her hips and her eyebrow raised. "What was the last thing I said?"
"Something about your... uh, hair?"
"Seriously?"
"Sorry, Bell. I've just thinking about a lot lately." I scratch the back of my head, messing up my short hair.
"You've been acting different lately, and." She looks around us before leaning closer to me. "It's not because of your little secret. What's going on?"
"It's something between me and someone else."
"Let me guess." She tilts her head. "Sebastian."
"Y-Yea."
She groans. "What's going on now?"
"Oh, please it's not what you think... Or, it might actually be... Because I am sort-of upset with him, but-"
"Spit it out then!"
"Fine." I look around the hallway, hoping not to find any ease-droppers passing by. Then, I grab Bell's arm and drag her to the side of the hallway, trying to get as much privacy as we could in the crowded hallway. "You know that night I told about the secret."
"Yeees."
"Well... something happened right after that."
"Which is..." she drags along.
"U-Um, Th-that Sebastian may or may not have kissed me."
"What?! Sebastian ki-"
I clamp her mouth shut with the palm of my hand before she could spill the beans. "I know, Bell, you don't have to repeat it," I hiss.
"Oh my gosh, I can't believe it!" she squeals.
While she was practically fangirling on one side, I, on the other hand, was not, I stood there like I was staring at paint drying. "What are you so excited about?"
