For the remainder of the party, Sebastian never left my side. He always had his arm around my waist, not wanting me to get away. Of course, it was noticeable to the public eye. My friends were the first to question it. But, I couldn't say anything. I was too traumatized from the fight, and it left me a complete mess. That's exactly what they wanted. They wanted me to fear for my life. For me to become a hallow shell. But, how else was I suppose to fight this?
In the end, Sebastian was the one who had to speak for me. He eventually blurted out about our newfound relationship. But, I didn't argue against him, so long as it kept the conversation from dragging on. Upon hearing the news, my friends congratulated us. Since then, I had fake my way through it. I couldn't stay silent forever. On the outside, I may have looked like the happy, go lucky girl, but on the inside, I was broken.
Eventually, Aunt Rose caught on to the news. She had to hear it from my own voice. And, once I gave her what she wanted, she was ecstatic that her precious little niece was with someone she agreed with. But, when will this all end?
Most of the time, I examined the manor, seeing if Claude or Alois were anywhere in sight. Fortunately, they were nowhere to be seen. They've left, for now. But, they would be back eventually.
Once the party was finally over, as the guests were leaving, I run out of the grand stairway and into my room. I just wanted to be alone and in the comfort of my own room. It was the only place I could feel safe. After slaming my bedroom door shut, I hop onto my bed, unintentionally startling my two kittens in the process. I grab the two felines and held them close against me. They didn't resist; they must've known I was in pain. They cuddle up against me, and I hiss in pain when their delicate fur brushed against my neck.
I allow their company to sooth me. There wasn't anyone else that could help me. With that, I bury my face into their fur. I try to let my emotions spill out, but no tears would form.
Then, I hear the door knob click, signaling that it was unlocked, and the door squeaks open. I didn't bother lifting up my head to see who entered my room. Once I heard the door close, I hear footsteps coming closer to me and my bed shifts as the person sat down next to me.
"You know, I must heal your wound before it worsens," Sebastian says.
"Then, what are you waiting for? Heal it," I command. Then, both kittens suddenly slip away from my grasp causing me to plop my head onto the bed sheets. I was about to look up to see where they went but was stopped when I felt Sebastian's fingers trailing my spine, which sent chills all over my body.
"How am I supposes to heal it if I can't see it?" With that, I flip over so that I face Sebastian, just as he requested.
"Now, heal it." I look over at my bedside table expecting to find medication to help heal my wound but I'm surprised when I don't find anything of the sort. "Wait, Sebastian, where are the medications? How are you going to heal the wound?" I turn to look at him, but my eye widen when I notice our close proximity. I felt my face warming up, and my cheeks were giving out on me. They were turning bright red.
"I don't need medications to heal a wound," he smirks.
"W-What are you g-g-going t-to do?" I nervously ask.
He laughs at my nervous self. He lowers down so that he was now looking at my wound. My heart was racing and my breaths couldn't stop pacing so fast that I thought I was going to have another asthma attack. I was extremely worried what might happen next. I stiffen up once I felt his lips on my wound. Instead of feeling pain, I felt a cooling sensation around my neck. I almost stop breathing when I felt his tongue trailing down my neck. The pain coming from the wound subsides. I couldn't feel any pain at all.
