~Time Skip~

After what seemed like hours inside the dark abyss, I manage to bring myself back into consciousness. I flutter my eyes open, but the lights quickly blinded me. I begin moving around, trying to bring feeling back into my body, and I feel the silk fabric wrapped around my body. Where exactly was I at? Then, as my vision finally returns, I realize that I was back in my room. I was back in the sanctuary of my own bedroom, my own home. I take a glimpse out of the window only to realize that it was still dark out. How long have I been out?

I abruptly push myself up into a sitting position then felt a strong migraine buzzing in my head. I use both my hands to keep my head in place, as if my own head would fall of my body. I position myself into a fetal position as I let the pain pass by. I was too busy dealing with my pain that I never bothered to look at the door as it creaks open. But, I try to deal with the pain then look at the doorway to see Sebastian walking into the room.

"The headache should only be temporary, Catherine," he states. He sets a glass of water on my nightstand. Then, he takes his place on my bed.

"How long have I been out?" I asks, rubbing my head in the process.

"About a day."

"What happ- Wait- Where's Bell?" I spat out. How could I possibly forget about my best friend? Knowing what I might have done, I could've killed her.

"Don't worry. She's going to be fine."

I let out a sigh of relief.

"She's residing in the guest room. She's still unconscious and still recovering."

"Thank God, she's okay."

"Her brother and your friends are with her at the moment."

"Wait, they're here?!"

"Yes. They came as soon as they heard the news."

"This isn't good," I mumble. "What did you tell them?"

"Not much. Only the fact that you and Ms. Montgomery were injured."

I groan. "What the hell happened back there?"

"The building collapsed just as soon as we were all goners."

"How?"

"I can't say for sure. Most likely due to your powers."

"What about Drocell? What happened to him and the dolls?"

"All of the dolls were crushed by the weight of the stones. For Drocell Kienz, there was no sign of him in the debris."

"So, he could still be out there."

"It seems so."

I sigh, "What am I going to do now?"

"There's only one thing you can do."

"I have to tell them the truth."

"I know."

"They have the right to know. They're just as involved in this as I am."

He stayed silent.

"Like you said, most of them had a past life with my father. They have to know everything. No finding things out on their own; they have to know before they get themselves killed."
